We're staying at Kidani 1bdrm Villa in 4 weeks. Does anyone know which rooms have the best chances of seeing animals from your villa? Thanks!

I would request sunset savannah, close to lobby. I had a room about half way down the hall on the bottom of the "U", mostly saw animals in the late afternoon when they were fed there. Other times they were up near the lobby or the end of the hall (top of the "U").

We were in pumba 7662 or 7664 I think. We got to see quite a bit in the evening, late night, and early morning but darn, it's a loooong walk from the lobby :). When it was late, we could just watch them moving around. The people above us were out on their balcony also because it was just so nice late at night when it was pretty quiet.

The animals are not on Sunset Savanna from 8 to 10 in the am -- that's when they get checked out at the barns. Otherwise the keepers are great at tempting them with treats to visit lots of areas on the savanna.

The first year we stayed at Kidani, we stayed with family in a 2BR that was the absolute farthest from the lobby. It was on the edge of the building, and the balcony kind of wrapped around the corner.

My wife was very annoyed as she was convinced she'd never see any animals. Which turned out to be pretty much the case for the afternoon and late into the night of the first day.

Then, at 7AM, she hollers to me. Cows! "Oh boy...", I thought. "What's next? Pigs? Maybe a rooster?" And I went back to sleep.

But apparently, all of the big game kind of know that they need to make their way into the barn around 8. They didn't all come at the same time. First some of those cattle, then maybe the zebra, giraffes. They all ambled over in groups like they were getting on the ark.

Then they'd hang out outside the barn until the keepers let them in. My wife was hanging over corner of the balcony taking pictures. It made her day. By the end of the week, she had a schedule worked out!

Best room ever! Except that the walk to the bus took longer than the bus ride.

I can send my kids over and they could stay with you...you will get animals all the time...:rotfl2:

Thanks for all the input! joelandkelly we'll have plenty of that going on inside our room already, which is why I'm looking for what I can see outside!

I wouldnt worry. I've stayed 3 times at jambo and 1 time at kidani. I saw more animals during my standard view stay at kidani than my savannah view stay at jambo. During the late afternoon early evening there are so many animals out by the main viewing area. You'll love it.

Does anyone know what the view is like from the Accessible rooms? I have a 1 bedroom savanna view booked and have requested an accessible room because my mom has some mobility challenges??
