I'm not sure if I should post this here, the Budget Board, Transport, or wherever but I'll give it a shot here first!

We are doing an Alaskan cruise summer 2018. I currently have a Southwest CC and a Disney CC. I use my southwest CC for flights to WDW, but most likely I will not have enough points to cover 2 roundtrip flights to get us to the West coast. So, I plan to open another CC with perks and I'm wondering what everyone thinks is the best CC to do that.

I think the idea of the Chase cards with UR because they seem more flexible than strictly southwest CC. I'm open to flying into Seattle or Vancouver, wherever I can get the best deal. I'd like to have a card that I can also use for rewards beyond the Alaska trip as well. Any suggestions?

We have a Chase Sapphire Preferred, which is a UR card. We love that it gives double points on all dining and travel including WDW and DCL payments. We've always just transferred point to Southwest since we fly them a lot, but there are tons of other options for redemption, including booking other air through Chase. We got rid of a Southwest card because the Sapphire gave us a lot more points based on our spending, and the annual fee isn't that much more.

If you are planning on charging in Canada, you might want to check if your credit card charges foreign transaction fees. Our Delta American Express does not charge foreign transaction fees but most of our other credit cards do.
