We are booked on our first disney cruise on October 5th - 4 day. I looked on the ship diagram and picked cabin 6652 because the verandah looked larger. However after reading posts, it seems that this is not an open rail - I love to look at the Ocean as we sail and I also read that this cabin can vibrate. Any suggestions for change of staterooms?

The best staterooms are a matter of opinion...personally I LOVE the far aft cabins with the metal verandahs. 6652 used to be my favorite until I discovered 5650, which is one deck down (I like being closer to the water) and even more isolated (I hate hallway traffic and noise). There may be some engine hum (which I also like, as I sleep with a white noise machine and am soothed by sounds like that), but the major vibration typically only happens when docking at the ports. I have met people who hate those staterooms, but personally the aft metal verandah rooms are my favorites. It all depends on what you are looking for...if you like looking out at the sea through the plexiglass, then a different area is probably better for you. Just avoid rooms in noisy areas like right across from the laundry room.

If you want to be able to see the ocean while seated on your varandah, pick any category 6 room that is forward of the category 7 staterooms. Those all have the clear plexiglas verandahs.

And welcome to the cruise board! :)
