Best Carseat for Plane?

I am going to rent a harness to attach to the seat on the plane and check the regular car seat (at the gate with the stroller, just my luck that the one piece that would go missing would be my car seat.) The website is

One more seat option is the Sunshine kids Radian. My very tall (and tall in the torso particularly) 3 year old outgrew all the smaller convertibles (including the Scenera and the Roundabout which is what we used to travel with). The Radian is NOT light (steel frame) but it folds flat so it's easy to get down the aisles. It also allows the tray table to come completely down which our Roundabout did not. SOOOOOO much better now being able to use that tray table.

I just wanted to mention that if you install your carseat rf, the person in front of your child will not be able to recline without hitting the carseat (based on my experience with a rf Roundabout in coach). We solved this problem (and the seat-kicking problem) by having DH sit in the window seat in the row in front of us, so DH is inconvenienced instead of a stranger.

Having been on a transatlantic flight in front of a child who kicked almost the whole time (and who's parents did NOTHING to stop it), I feel for the person in front of any child who kicks!

Yep, we took 3 on the last trip and between the crayons everywhere and and then having to stuff them in a bag, they were so darn bulky they werent worth it.
