Best cannister vacuum

According to the latest Consumer reports.Miele,is the top rated.They have many models on the list.Unfortunately I can't remember the particular model of Miele that rated tops.We have one,not the top model,but it's fantastic.

It is the Miele Complete C3 Marin Canister. This is the one I own and it is fantastic, extremely quiet, but very expensive. I bought it on Amazon.

Does it have a powerhead for carpets? With a long haired dog, that's a necessity!

How do you tell which attachments work for a Miele? We were given one and it frankly sucks on our carpets. I was looking for a carpet attachment that can handle 3 dogs and multiple foster kittens and I wasn't having any luck.

Some of the Miele vacuums have powered hoses/wands & heads - some don't. We used to have one without the powered head, we had it for years and it was still going strong when we moved into a house with a lot of carpeting. We upgraded to a Miele with a powered head, and love it, and have done so for 17 years. The other one is still going strong, and one of our grown kids uses it in their home.
