when our dyson upright lost suction after about 3 years, I called & they sent me the replacement part free. that vacuum is now about 12 years old, and still going strong - it picks up EVERY little pet hair. one thing is that the upright is heavy, so we bought another for the other level of our house (over 5 years, and absolutely no loss of suction).Had a Dyson upright which lost suction! Went to a Miele and this is the best vacuum I've ever owned. Incredibly quiet too compared to the Dyson.
Where do you buy a Miele? I've never seen them around here.
I've never had a dyson, but I wonder -- do you think that could be because of their price? Meaning since they are more expensive, people are more inclined to get it repaired rather than throwing it out and replacing it.I know someone who owns a sew and vacuum store. She said no way would she sell Dyson. In addition to repairing sewing machines they also repair vacuum cleaners. The majority of vacuum cleaner repairs are dyson
