Hey all -

I'm a POFQ girl who is staying at POR this year (October) for the first time. I'm excited to try something new, but I generally prefer the smaller resorts with only 1 bus stop to worry about.

We are staying in a Royal Room, and I have requested Oak Manor. We don't go to the food court for breakfast, and we're rope drop people.

I'm trying to avoid us getting skipped because the bus is full, or having to stand on the way to the parks.

So knowing this, is it better to use the bus stop closer to our room or walk over to the main entrance?

Not worried about coming back - strictly looking at getting to the parks in the morning. Does this make sense?

Thanks?
Deb

can't promise either.

you may have to stand - would go with bus stop close to you.

since both are close - East Deposit and Front of resort (blue bayou or river delta) - your choice. if you go to the front - you will have to find which platform you want - different park buses go to different platform.

disney use to go after POFQ out the back entrance and then to East, North, West, then the front of the resort.

now heard it was front of the resort then west, north, east.

also heard it was front of the resort then east. north west.

so hoping someone who has stayed there lately - will say what the schedule was at this time.

We are also RD people and have never had an issue with not getting a seat in the AM at POR. Not even close. So I agree with PP, whichever stop is closest to you.

We used the north drop thanksgiving week in November and to me it was great. We hardly ever waited for a bus. We would always see people waiting at the main one near the lobby area but not us :). I guess depends on how busy they are an what their bus schedule is. We were going to have to wait for another MK bus once because people shoved in front of us and the bus that came up behind them had downtown Disney on it. He saw us and waved us back to him and changed the sign to MK since noone got on. I loved it!! The little devil in me hopes those people that shoved their way on the bus had a bumpy ride standing up ;).

I'm a POFQ girl too and hated the buses at POR. Love being first on the stop at FQ, and we had to wait many times for 30 minutes for a bus at POR (and this was in early December). We were in Acadian and went to the North Depot. If you really are worried about being on time, I would say go to main depot...the walk will be about 10-15 mins longer, but at least you are guaranteed a seat.

Not necessarily. Sometimes we found the main stop (the South Depot) to be the last stop.

I would go to East Depot. It's a lot more relaxed, and less crowded. We've never had a problem using North or East Depot and prefer it to the crowded main one. Sometimes we left straight to the parks from East, and sometimes we stopped at main depot before heading out.

My dh said I needed to add that when we were there thanksgiving some of the buildings were still closed for renovations so that may be why we didn't experience huge crowds at the north depot.
