Best Building at Poly? Fiji or Tokelau

I'm calling tomorrow to make ressies at the Poly. Due to limited funds it has to be GV. Should I request Fiji or Tokelau? I have studied Tikiman's site and they both look good to me. I would like a balcony room close to everything with the best possible view. I noticed that Fiji has just been renovated and that makes me lean toward it since some people on these boards say that the Poly is looking a little worn. But, I like the location of Tokelau. I DRIVE myself crazy with my overplanning. LOL

But, Can someone offer me their opinion???????

We stayed in Fiji about a month ago and it was great! The location is close to the GCH and the volcano pool. Our room had a view of the marina (3rd floor with blacony). We could see the Contemporary, Space Mountain, and if you went to the far side of the balcony the castle. I highly recommend it!

We stayed in 3942 in Tokelau during our Thanksgiving trip. I loved the building, real close to the TTC. But by the end of our trip, it seemed like it was a bit of a walk from the GCH and restaurants. We found the "shortcut" on the last night there... figures, but it's still a great location.

We had a GV (view of the quiet pool) .... although it wasn't quiet at 11:00 p.m., when whose ever kids were still screaming and jumping in the pool.... I just closed the balcony door and TADA, instant quiet!!

We were near the end towards the Neverland Club, so we very rarely used the elevator, we always used the end staircase, and used the TTC alot. We felt we were about in the middle when it came to the TTC or the GCH. We did use the monorail at the GCH when we had breakfast at the Kona Cafe, but a lot of times, coming back "home", we got off at the TTC and walked back through the path, maybe 5-6 minute walk.

I didn't really notice Fiji, it was over on the other side, so I can't really help there.

We love Tokelau -- but be aware that so does everyone else -- so if you are there during a peak time you need to check in early for a shot at your first choice and have a backup in mind... Both times we have stayed at the Poly we moved mid-stay in order to get to our first choice building.
