Best building at CSR

We're staying at the CSR at the end of March for the first time. I read the
Different info on this board, but i'd just like to know if there is a good, non-premium room/building that's convenient to the restaurants and the main pool?
I looked at the map, but it's confusing since I've never been to this resort.

The pool Is not close to the restaurants. The restaurants are close to the gift shop and check in/out. This would be the Casitas area and most is preferred location.

The pool is near the cabanas, and el rancho. We like this area better. There is a convenient bus stop and the walk To the restaurants wasnt
bad. We liked this area because we did a lot of swimming and when you are wet afterwards, it's nice to not have to walk as far to
the rooms. The dig site pool is amazing!! My kids 9 , 7 and 20 months loved it!!

We have always preferred Casitas buildings #8 and #9, for location convenient to everything, especially the Pool. We once had a corner room with two windows, which was nice.

I agree with the previous posters. Casitas is the best bet. We stayed at CSR in 09, booked a standard room and got Casitas 4. I think it was a great location.

It's a beautiful resort no matter where you're room is. Have a good trip!

Ambassador, I think you mean Cabanas 8 or 9; Casitas are 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5. To the OP, we love Casitas 5 and CabAnas 8A.

I agree with the previous posters. Casitas is the best bet. We stayed at CSR in 09, booked a standard room and got Casitas 4. I think it was a great location.

We LOVED Casitas 4 during our October stay. Casitas 4 and 5 are non preferred buildings. About a 5 minute walk up to El Centro with the first pick up/drop off bus stop in the resort located at Casitas 4. Not sure how far to main pool as we never went over there. When we wanted to go to the pool, we went to the "quiet" pool which is located at Casitas 4. Beautiful pool and surprisingly large.

El Centro and the Dig Site are not close to each other, so you might want to decide which is more important to you. But, if you prefer to be an equal distance from both, I would request a room in Cabanas.

We prefer cabana 8A, which is closer to the pool but not too far from the main building (we go to the pool more often than we go to the main building).

If you want to (roughly) split the distance between the pool and El Centro, Casitas 4 or 5 (both non-preferred) and cabanas 9A and 8B are pretty equidistant.

Another vote for the Cabanas. Either building is pretty similar. We were in 8; five seconds to the pool and five seconds to a bus stop. Not too far from El Centro, either. Previously, we stayed at the far end of Casitas 4. It was fine for us, but it was far from everything except our bus stop.

Casitas are my vote! So pretty also with all the fountains!

We stayed in Cabanas 8B in December. We had requested Casitas and were a little bit bummed that we were in Cabanas but we ended up loving it! We were maybe a 4 minute walk from El Centro and 2 minutes from the pool as well as the bus stop. We would definitely choose Cabanas again.

We prefer first floor anywhere in the Cabanas with a preference for Cabanas 8A--close to bus stop, main pool, and less than five minutes to the main building/restaurants.
