What do you think is the best buffet for lunch or dinner? I've already heard about the breakfast buffets, which sound great, but I just don't think I can bring myself to eat that much food in the morning. We're kind of picky eaters, so I'm looking for something with variety, but not too many "exotic" choices. Thanks! :goodvibes

I liked Crystal Palace a lot,but that's the only one I have been to,we are trying breakfast there when we go in May and also going to try chef mickey's for breakfast...ummm oh ew don't eat at Hollywood and Vine,YUCK!!!

CP has an amazing salad dressing--zinfandel vinaigrette or something--wonderful! There was plenty of variety for lunch--several things with enough of a twist to make them different w/o being too exotic. I just can't remember now what they were, lol. For just basic food at a good price, can't beat Trail's End at FW. The food was pretty plain but really fresh--perfectly cooked veggies, plain rice, mashed potatoes, fried chicken, ribs, salmon, some kind of steak. We really enjoyed ourselves! Then we watched MK fireworks from the beach at FW. We wanted to do the hayride but it wasn't running that night.

My DH thinks that Crystal Palace has the best dinner buffet!!

I vote for Biergarten.... yes it is Germany but German food is not that exotic and the atmosphere and entertainment are wonderful!

Our family are not breakfast eaters so I can totally relate with not wanting to eat so much in the morning. We are picky eaters too and don't eat anything too exotic. We still gave Boma a try and didn't like it at all. Nothing was wrong, just not for us. We really loved Crystal Palace for lunch. They had such a great variety and all the food was really good. Another good choice is Chef Mickey's for dinner.

Our favourite was the Hollywood and Vine, had sooo much choice, and amazing desserts! I don't really like 'exotic' foods either, so I guess that's why our family enjoyed H&V so much.
I didn't like Crystal Palace dinner :confused3

We love Tusker House for a little variety and CP is pretty good as well. Stay clear of H&V in my opinion. It was horrid for lunch

Crystal Palace, Cape May Cafe at the Beach Club and 1900 Park Fare at Grand Floridian are our favorites! :)

I highly recommend the Libert Tree Tavern at the Magic Kingdom!

It isn't a buffet in the sense that you go to the slop and trough with 100s of your closest friends -- but it is an all you care to eat meal brought to your table. The food is traditional "Thanksgiving Feast" as my DF calls it. Sliced turkey, beef, and ham, delicious veggies, salad, desert -- PLUS -- DISNEY CHARACTERS!

I would also recommend O'hana at Disney'd Polynesian Resort for a similar dining experiences (bring the buffet to you) but this time more Polyenesian faire. While it isn't as good as it used to be, it is still a prime dining location.

Finally, I have always had a good time dining at Chef Mickey's for dinner. nothing spectacular, but I enjoy it much better than the CP.

I also LOVE Boma -- but you said nothing too exotic. It is one of my favs.

Good luck in your decision making!

Cheers,
Josh

We all thought Crystal Palace had a great dinner buffet.

We did Liberty tree Tavern last year & loved it! Thanks for all of the opinions... we're thinking of trying to add a buffet to our May trip, but it may be too late, but I'll try. Thanks for all of the suggestions! :thumbsup2

we hate buffet meals but we LOVE 1900 park fare for a.m. and p.m. their food is really good...they put it out in small portions so that it is always fresh....
