Have booked most of our restaurants but find the buffet restaurants seem better value especially with charlotte. I have booked crystal palace chef mickeys (breakfast and dinner) and hollywood and vine . Can anyone recommend anymore? Dont mind which park preferably lunch or dinner.

We've been to Play n Dine lunch for the last 3 years purely because of the little mans love for Leo and Manny. The menu and food last trip was awesome, gutted that I had breakfast that day. Much improved!

I would recommend 1900 Park Fare at GF, the food is top notch. Characters are definitely more popular with girls but the food and setting are worth it.

We love the breakfast buffet at Cape May Cafe at the Beach Club, and last trip discovered the Boma dinner buffet, fabulous!

Only 2 buffets I really like.
Akershus as it has smoked salmon plus you get a main course brought to the table as well.
Other is Trails End, same food as in Hoop Dee Doo, Ribs, chicken etc & peel & eat shrimp. Eaten there about 5 times and paid OOP every time, wouldn't pay OOP for any other Disney buffet myself.

Done, Chef Mick's, Crystal Palace and all the others don't really like them. Most of food is tasteless.
We prefer the family dining rather than buffet, Garden Grill, Liberty Tree, Whispering Canyon, enjoy all these style of dining rather than a tradition buffet.

Totally disliked 1900 park fare & Cape May (both dinner)

You really need to read the menus and find food you like. Everyone has differing opinions on them all.

Great thanks guys.

I now have booked in order of stay from the 10th april
GFC dinner
CP breakfast Ohana Dinner (thanks for tip forgot that one)
Tusker house lunch
Chef de france lunch
Captains grill dinner
Chef mickeys dinner charlottes favourite (not mine !)
Be our guest (really looking forward to this one)
Garden grill dinner
Sci fi lunch
Hollywood and vine fantasmic package
Chef mickeys breakfast (last day)
Going to book trails end later just for DB and I as staying at WLV for the first 7 nights ( thanks wayne never been there and menu looks great)
We arnt on ddp but I have TIW card and dvc card and worked out about the same. Only downside to dvc no free ddp for us lol.

Probably too late now - but I love Boma at AKL too, and Tusker House in Animal Kingdom is great for lunch - also has characters!

I like the more 'interesting' foods that Boma and Tusker House serve :goodvibes

Second vote for Trails End - delicious American classics. :thumbsup2
Shame it's so tricky to get to.
The best bet is catch the boat from the Magic Kingdom.

my votes go to :

tusker house (breakfast)
hollywood and vine (breakfast)
ohana (dinner) not a real buffet but all you can eat.

Boma as a runner up, but noisy and crowded

I totally disliked (euphemism) chef mickey

i used to hate 1900 park fare, but our last trip i booked it specifically because of Chef TJ, who now works there (though i couldn't be sure he would be there the night i had booked)...
He's famous among dis vegetarians....

anyway, so i booked dinner at 1900 park fare...also, the evil stepmother and stepsisters are there for dinner (along with cinderella)...and DD thinks they're a hoot, so i figured at least she'd enjoy that aspect of it..
although, as it turned out, my daughter in law is in love with the princesses...who knew? she's this very conservative, quiet type....but when she saw cinderella i thought she was going to faint...
she even made my son take a picture together with the prince...how funny is that?

but getting back to the food...
the buffet was really very nice...
lots of choices....definitely good bang for the buck (dinner buffet on the dining plan)..

as for the famous chef TJ - he indeed was there that night and made the most amazing feast specially for DD!!!! he prepared her a massive plate of appetizers and then an even more massive main course....

and then he sat down with us to chat (since we were the second to last table to finish that night)....
bottom line, we all enjoyed ourselves immensely...

oh...and the step mother and sisters were a scream!!!

Beth tht made me laugh. Unfortunately charlotte doesn't do princesses but the food does look great. I love vegetarian food as well.

Boma I have done several times when staying at AKLV and hv booked trails end the week we are at WIlderness lodge which I presume will be easier to get to( I hope)
