Hi everyone,

I am looking for a budget friendly hotel near the Disney area ( if possible a good neighbourhood or partner hotel ) that has a kitchenette and a decent pool. I will be travelling solo and staying for two weeks so would be quite nice to do my own meals some of the days. The ones I have looked at so far are TownePlace Suites by Marriott, The Drury plaza though this isn’t a traditional kitchenette it still has a microwave and does have free breakfast . Transportation is also key would be great if they had frequent shuttles if possible without having to reserve. I have been looking around the Disney springs area.

Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

If a Disney Springs hotel is in your budget, the location can not be beat. Their park shuttle buses will be more reliable and more often than most your Good Neighbor hotels (who often require reservations and a fee). You are also minutes walk to Disney Springs.

Drury also does a ... 5:30 Kickback “nightly snack” lasts nightly from (unsurprisingly) 5:30 p.m.-7:00 p.m. A complimentary rotating menu of fresh, hot food and beer, wine, mixed drinks and soft drinks are served every day.
Which is a decent offering ... this is a sample.

Another to look at is Homewood Suites (Hilton) who offer kitchenettes, breakfast and evening reception. We have stayed at the Lake Buena Vista a few times and eaten at both meals and cooked in the kitchen. Hilton also usually offers buy 4 nights get 1 free, so if you are doing 10 nights you could get 2 free. If a full 2 weeks you could get an extra if you stay one more night. It is a Good Neighbor I believe and has a shuttle of some kind (we drive).

Another with a really nice Kitchenette w/supplies set up is Home2Suites. Not sure about shuttles.

I would second the Drury inn and you can often find really good discounts online that include discounted parking. $15 rather than $25. I was there for 1 night last week and we had a wonderful time and the shuttle was great.

One to check is Mousesavers. Drury is a preferred hotel and they often offer discounts. Sign up for their newsletter and you can get special offers.

I’ve stayed both Flamingo and one by Outlet stores. Nice about Flamingo is the pool set up it shares with Homewood. If only doing Disney I think location good. Our room looked over pool.

Looking for more recent comps concerning nearby hotels with kitchenettes and/or Free Breakfast +.
We toured the new Drury near Disney Springs AND the Marriott-TownePlace suites at Lake Buena Vista.
We went with the TownePlace Suites (TPS) for the following reasons:
Both offer Free Hot Breakfasts, including Mickey Waffles :)
TPS has a kitchenette (StoveTop, Microwave, & Full Refrigerator) and a sitting area.
DRURY also offers the "5:30 Kickback meals"
DRURY is closer to Disney Springs
TPS rate is significantly cheaper when staying 30 Nights or more. (Drury did not offer any reduced rate for 30+ nights)
TPS Parking is capped at 6-Nights (So same $25/N Parking yields $150 at TPS, vs. $750 at DRURY)

We have not stayed at either place, so I would love to get feedback from others who have.
We did stay at the DRURY closer to Universal, and were not at all happy with the surrounding environment or the food selections, but that was back in 2021 or 2022........
