Thinking about driving down from school for the day to go to the Halloween party. I'd just need a place to crash for one night, hopefully not too far from magic kingdom. What are the closer non Disney hotels on the cheaper side? It doesn't need anything fancy I just would love to be pointed in the right direction so I don't end up anyplace too sketchy haha.

Thanks.

In my experience, it is less expensive to stay on property. Check out Pop Century. There may be some room only discounts available. When staying offsite, you still have to pay for parking, so that is no savings.

Last October, I was able to get the Orlando Vista on Hotwire for around $43 including taxes for the night before our cruise. We spent the day at the parks and didn't want to drive all the way to the port late at night. It is right outside DTD at the intersection of Hotel Plaza Blvd and Apopka Vineland (across from Crossroads Shopping Ctr). I wouldn't wnat to spend my whole week trip there, but one night is fine. The room was clean, but it was kinda dark.

What is your date? I will look and see what I can find on Hotwire. I used betterbidding.com to determine my hotel before I booked.

We stayed at the Ramada in Kissimee on year and it was less than a mile to the entrance for Disney and we only paid about $40 a night, really cheap and a nice hotel. It has 2 swimming pools, restaurants, a pizza place, and a little convenience store.

You're right I didn't even think about parking. I actually have no clue how much that costs since I have only been on property at WDW and have never bothered to drive there?

Seems like if it is at least 15 dollars I might as well just spend the night at POP.

I don't know my dates yet I haven't picked a Halloween party out yet.

Also, what is this magic flower? I don't get it lol.

Parking is $14. People who are staying on-site at a Disney resort do not have to pay for parking at the resort or theme parks. For Magic Kingdom, I would take the bus anyway (otherwise you have to go to the Ticket and Transportation Center via ferry or monorail to access parking).

You can get into Magic Kingdom at 4 pm using your party ticket.

Since you're going to the party, it just makes more sense to stay on property and I would take the bus as well.
