:wizard: We are narrowing down our choices for another breakfast. We already have Crystal Palace booked and want to do another after MK extra morning hours. We don't want to go too far (Boma at AKL is too far) from MK and characters are not necessary. Which do you think is the best and why....

I picked the Kona Café in your poll, but I like the Grand Floridian Café more. It's equally close to the Magic Kingdom, and it has a nicer atmosphere and a better menu.

My family loves the Wave- we have been eating there for breakfast for a couple of years now and will again this August. The multigrain pancakes are delicious! It is also easy to get a reservation and the restaurant itself is nice and modern.

I agree with the Grand Floridian Cafe'... and Kona is super, too... as is Chef Mickey's (if you can stand the "noise", they have great food !) but picking from the list of 4, it would have to be 1900 Park Fare for me... because nothing beats the "Strawberry Soup" !

I like both the Grand Floridian Cafe and Kouzzina for breakfast more than any of the places in your poll, but between the four, I'd take Kona.

I also like the Rainforest Cafe's breakfast, which is only available at the Animal Kingdom location.

I chose Kona Cafe....pineapple macadamia nut pancakes are yummy...and so is their juice!

Mmmmmm the Strawberry Soup is soooo good!!!!! Plus they have the Mad Hatter who is always funny, so with that said, 1900 Park Fare gets my vote.

Kona, Kona Kona! Great breakfast! Although we do love Chef Mickeys but really only for the character interaction

Kona has a great breakfast and we've always enjoyed it there ...but I've got to tell you the last time we were there I had left my TIW card in the room(my fault, I know) and the manager refused to help me out. I just got a straight up no and there was no talking about it -left me a little underwhelmed with the service. We weren't talking huge money, but when I'm spending $100 or so for breakfast for 5 -I expect a little better than below average service. Even if I was at fault.

Chef Mickey's & 1900 are Character meals. If you're staying at Contemporary/Bay Lake, then I'd suggest Chef Mickey's (but it can be noisy). If you're at Grand Floridian, then 1900 is gonna' be a bit easier for y'all.

Kona & The Wave are not Character meals. I never been to Kona, but The Wave is known to be the amongst the 'crunchiest' food places at Disney - they serve organic & whole grain stuff. More recently, The Wave introduced a buffet that I've not yet experienced....we like The Wave because we stay at Bay Lake Towers next door. I've heard nothing but good things about Kona, but it's not worth traveling for breakfast with my family. Matter of fact, we like room service for breakfast.

I love Kona's best service 95 percent of the time and food is excellent. Sometimes even at other places you get a poor server it happens. I always make ADR'S for Kona's at least twice during my stay. Both breakfast and dinner. This is a place that is at the top of my list.

1900 is good and the character interaction is great! we are just 2 adults and they were a lot of fun (face characters - alice & mad hatter).

We really are not big breakfast eaters, we have only been to Chef Mickey's and I was less than impressed...We only went for my step grand daughter, I would go for the kids but food not so much lol...I do want to try Crystal Palace's though because we had such a good time at the dinner meal there that I would like to try their breakfast...:thumbsup2

I know you said you don't need characters, but Ohana was really good. food is served family style on a re-fillable platter: eggs, really good fresh fruit, bacon, sausage, biscuits and Mickey waffles. Kona Cafe is nice, but almost not worth leaving the park and going all the way to the Poly for no characters! I would grab something at Main Street Bakery!

KONA!
