What do you think is the best breakfast dining w/the disney characters? We have twin toddlers that are 22 months old. We just took them to Sesame Street Live and they LOVED seeing the characters, so I think they will be happy to see the Disney ones. Also, how far in advance do you have to reserve a spot?

My crew loved Cinderella's Royal Table in February, but they are quite a bit older than yours. Since they enjoyed Sesame Street and probably would appreciate the full costume characters (Pooh and the gang) as opposed to face characters (Cinderella and the princesses), I would suggest breakfast at the Crystal Palace. I've never been, but I understand the food is very good, and there is lots of interaction with the characters. :)

I've done both Crystal Palace and the Character Breakfast at Ohana and both of them are great. You just have to decide if you want to eat with Pooh bear and friends before a day of MK or head over to the Polynesian and hang out with Mickey and friends in pacific wear (hawaiian shirts and all).

It seemed that the characters in Ohana were more active and they played little games where kids could join in...

anywho, I recommend both...but I'm leaning over a bit more to Ohana (even tho I was a huge fanatic of Pooh and friends in my younger years)

I know there's a Character Breakfast in Epcot as well but I don't know anything about it. Sorry! :p

We have been to most of the different character breakfasts. I think our favorites are Chef Mickey's at the Contemporary (this one took a couple vacations to get PS for), the breakfast at Restarauntasaurus (sp?) at Animal Kingdom, and Ohana's. I normally do all of the scheduling and calling for Priority Seating arrangements and do it as close to the time they allow before the date chosen.

Other character breakfasts we enjoy are:
Wilderness Lodge (I can't remember the name)
The Grand Floridian with Mary Poppins
The Beach Club with Admiral Goofy

My DW and I tried the Princess breakfasts at King Stefan and at Norway and will not go back until our daughter is old enough to enjoy them and chooses them.

Another vote for Cinderella's Royal Table, but good luck getting a priority seating. It took 8 days of me calling exactly 60 days out (or 90?) last year, at 5:59AM to try to get one....only to find they were booked EVERY DARN TIME! LOL

But, we lucked out and they had a cancellation one morning when I called and we were able to get in. (It was my daughter's 4th birthday)

It was SOOOO cool! Cinderella, Snow White, Pocahontas, Aurora (Sleeping Beauty), Fairy Godmother...and someone else. But, my two year old could have cared less...it was her 4 and 6 year old sisters who were smitten.

Oh - and Peter Pan and Captain Hook were hanging outside by the windows peeking in :)

That said, I think Chef Mickey's would be idea for that age - or the Pooh ones. But the food at CRT was TO DIE FOR! (And they brought seconds for my husband - stuffed french toast, fruit, muffins and breads, and that divine potato casserole!) :)

We, too, have done them all.

For that age, I would pick either Crystal Palace or O'hanas because the kids get to march around the restaurant in a parade.

Cindy's or 1900 Park Fair are wonderful, but I don't think as much fun for toddlers.

Unless your gang has a favorite character--then I would make sure to pick the appropriate restaurant.

We loved Crystal Palace--food, atmosphere and characters. It also was great to get into the park early on a non-EE for an 8:15 PS. We were done right when the park opened. Depending on the time of year, their PS's are fairly easy to get, but do call in advance and bring your confirmation number if you are going before the park opens.

We did not care for the food nor the atmosphere of Donald's. The characters seemed rushed too.

Crystal Palace and Chef Mickey's top our list. Our son loved both at 12 months and 24 months.

I think you won't go wrong with any of the meals as long as your children are familiar with the characters.

You can call to get PS's to this at 90 days out.

My family liked the Crystal Palace the best of all that we have been to

I liked Chef Mickeys. Scheduled it for an off day from the park. Many characters, decent buffet.

Cape May at the Beach Club has a nice breakfast buffet. Minnie, Goofy and Chip or Dale is there. Used to be both Chip and Dale, but the last time we went in October, we only had Dale.

Crystal Palace with Pooh, Piglet, Eeyore, and Tigger was our favorite, followed very closely by Chef Mickey's. We also liked Donald's Breakfastsaurus, but it does get some negative reviews.

They're all good!

Steph

Our kids have liked them all. The most memorable was probably Cinderella's Royal Table. Last year, we went to the breakfast at Cape May Resort, which was also nice but not as memorable. Two years ago, we went to the Winnie the Pooh character breakfast, which is traditionally held in the Crystal Palace. The building was being renovated at the time so it was held at Tony's on Main Street and we really liked this one. I think overall we have preferred the table service breakfasts as opposed to the buffet style.

The other one that you should consider is Chef Mickey's, primarily because the main characters are present (Mickey, Minney, Donald, Goofy, Chip & Dale). We haven't been to this one for breakfast, but the dinner is really cool.

Another issue to consider is whether you want to do the meal in one of the parks. We have decided to do character meals on off-park days so that we aren't taking up valuable park time sitting at a table.

One last note - if you have your heart set on Cinderella's Royal Table and can't get ressies, consider the princess breakfast in Norway at Epcot. We honestly have never been there, but everything we've read suggests that it is a pretty decent substitute for CRT.

Chef Mickey's has my vote. The food is great, and the characters take time with you to get plenty of pics! :bounce:

The Crystal Palace with Pooh was a big winner for my kids when they were that age. They loved Pooh, and didn't care about princesses or Mickey and the gang. Plus, it's a buffet, which always works well for little ones.

I would recommend asking for the latest breakfast time, which I believe is about 10:30. If you plan to be at the Park at rope drop, which in my opinion is a must, then 2 year-olds are ready for a break at about 10:30. You'll be ready for a break around then, also. After your meal, you'll be able to hit the rides while everyone else is getting lunch.

Plus, the restaurant really clears out, and you get a lot more character interaction. When we did this, each of the characters circled the room at least three times while we ate, and there was no line for the non-rotating character (Piglet, the last time we were there).

Crystal Palace is great for the Pooh fans and it is right in MK which is magical. But Ohanas is better for food and the Mickey and friends. I say go for Ohanas-we felt less rushed and enjoyed breakfast more. :)

We always felt like Cape May Cafe was the perfect mix
of food, space and character interaction ::yes::

The pace seems a little less hectic and the characters
readily available :teeth:

Another consideration might be where you're staying and
how easy/difficult getting to the breakfast might be ;)

Good luck and Enjoy!! :sunny: :sunny:

Crystal Palace is a must for us!

We LOVE the food, we are big Pooh fans and we like that it's in MK.

Thinking of trying Chef Mickey this time.....but that of course will be the 2nd morning cuz I'll be at Crystal Palace the 1st morning.
