Hello!! I'm in desperate need of your help :rotfl:
Just when I thought I had everything planned for our trip, I started to rethink our last day ressie...
A little background so you can help me better: We're taking a short 3 days trip, taking my parents for my mom's bday, and I want them to have the "disney experience" So I booked us a studio at Kidani, and made ressies for 'Ohana (dinner), H&V lunch (this one is for my Little Eintein's-lover son) and Kona breakfast on our last day. Now I'm wondering if there are better choices for our last day breakfast. It has to be a non-park restaurant.. I thought about Boma, but I don't think we'll like it as we are non-adventerous food eaters, plus my dad has digestive issues :sad1: I'm also considering doing a character breakfast, after seeing the pure JOY in my son's face today while watching our videos from Chef Mickey's Bfast. It totally melt my heart
So... what to do??? :confused3 give me your favorites and why, and I'm sure you will help me make up my mind, after all, you are the experts!! ;)

Sorry for making this too long !!! :o

To me no trip is complete without breakfast at Chef Mickey's. I just love the celebration song and all the characters. We have such wonderful memories of them all. I got a hug from Mickey when I was walking through the restaurant. :lovestruc

I'd pick Chef Mickey's for outside a park and Donald's Safari Breakfast at Tusker House for inside.

Definitely do Chef Mickey's. To me, it's the classic character meal! DD3 was literally jumping up and down from excitement being there. Breakfast & dinner were good for us!

I would recommend Cape May Cafe at The Beach Club. They have good food and are much easier to get an ADR for than Chef Mickey's. It's not as loud and raucous as CM's either. They have Minnie, Goofy, and Donald in their beach wear, and the character interaction I had was great - they came by 3 times!!!!!

The Ohana character breakfast is our family's favorite. The characters seem to spend a good deal of time with the kids. They have a little parade for the kids during the meal. My youngest DD's 3 and 5 last trip really like it. and my older DD and DS like it too. The food is really good. Served Family style. If I remember correctly (its been a year) the menu was Scrambled Eggs, Bacon, Breakfast Potatoes, Sausage and Mickey Waffles. Also, there was a bread. The juice they serve is excellent. For our family it is a must do every trip.

We love Crystal Palace! You can't beat Pooh and friends, and the food there is pretty good. We're not big fans of Chef Mickey's - the food there just doesn't make it worth it. You can see Mickey somewhere else.

We love Chef Mickey's breakfast - good character interaction with the Fab 5, a good buffet with nice variety, very fun/upbeat atmosphere with occasional monorail passing by overhead.

Crystal Palace all day long - its in a great location , great buffet and good characters. Some of my fav pics of my 2 kids were taken there.

1. Crystal Palace has amazing food and the Pooh characters are always a hit for kids. Plus they do a parade with the kids!

2. Chef Mickeys is 2nd choice. The food is also good and of course the classic characters are great!

3. Cape May Cafe is a great 3rd choice! I actually like the food here better than Chef Mickeys and the characters and atmosphere better too. I choose it for number 3, though, because it's a little less convienient to get to than Chef Mickey's which is by monorail.

No matter which one you choose, your little one is bound to have a wonderful time!!!

I would either eat right at your resort at Boma, if you want a relaxed last day.
Boma has all the average breakfast foods that are typical and they have
a few items that are unique--they call it pap but it's grits.

If you want a character breakfast I would definately eat at Ohanas best friends breakfast--it's the best--good food that is served family style--all you care to eat--love Lilo, Stitch, Mickey and Pluto. This restaurant seems
to be more relaxed than Chef Mickeys. The characters also spend more time with you than at Chef Mickeys.

Thanks everyone for your input! :goodvibes I think I'm leaning toward Cape May Cafe breakfast or 'Ohana, just to check something new besides Chef Mickey, altought we did have dinner in Cape May on Dec. and we are having dinner in 'Ohana this time. The good thing is that there's availability in ALL the restaurants :scared1: not like in free dining... So I'll ask the rest of the fam which one they like the most and book it! :woohoo:

Just wanted to add that my children (DD-7 and DS-15 months at the time) REALLY enjoyed Ohana's best friends breakfast and I would HIGHLY recommend it! Character interaction was top-notch - they spent a lot of time with both of my kids (at most other character meals on our 09/09 trip the baby was largely ignored). And the food was very good! It was nice having it served family style - we didn't have to worry about missing characters by getting up for food! It was my daughter's favorite character meal of the week, and we are hoping to go there again on our upcoming 03/10 trip!

Crystal Palace (pooh, tigger, eeyore and Piglet) at the MK. They have a wonderful buffet (which kids under 3 eat free), it is beautiful inside and a must do every vacation we go on!!! The food is phenomenal!

O'hana was also a great character breakfast (family style and great food). I agree that the characters are also great with their interactions.

I have taken my little ones to the Play and Dine breakfast and they loved it!
