Looking for a breakfast buffet for our trip in July. Either in or our of the parks. We will be staying at WL. It will be me, DH & DS (14). Characters are fine- we've done them before when the kids were little. Looking for suggestions that would appeal to our DS.

We like the Crystal Palace the best. It's in an attractive restaurant in a great location plus I have a thing for Tigger. :) The food is pretty good too.

My suggestions would be:
Crystal Palace at Magic Kingdom
Tusker House at Animal Kingdom
Boma at Animal Kingdom Lodge (which I have never been to, but have heard nothing but great things about).

I agree!!! Our favorite is Tusker, but we also enjoy CP. We like to have our ADRs before park opening if possible.

Haven't tried BOMA yet either, but based on the reviews here it is the best in DW!

Boma has a great breakfast and it's always fun to visit AKL IMO. I would recommend that one too.

We must try Tusker House....

We are trying the wave next month :woohoo:
have heard some good things about a relatively new option

I agree with a PP that a trip to AKL to the tasty Boma breakfast buffet with a trip outside to view the animals is a big hit with adults and kids alike. :)

I'd go with BOMA. The AKL is really something to see. The lobby is gorgeous. They have a cool shop there. The animal viewing on the savannah is cool. I think it would be great for your son especially since the characters aren't a requirement. My DDs (13 & 16) love the juice they have . .. I think it is guava.

This is one of our favorites, too. I never thought it would be, as I like Pooh & the gang well enough but wouldn't exactly call myself a lover of all things Pooh, but we've been 3 times now for breakfast and we just love it here. It's comfortable, fun, bright and airy and the food is wonderful. You don't feel nearly as rushed as, say, Chef Mickey's, and when were there last May we must have saw the characters go by a dozen times. The first time we were getting our food when they came by but only had to wait a few minutes before they were back again. Then, once we got our pics and autographs, we just sat back and had a really good meal. Our waiter even told us to take our time, he'd be there all day.:lovestruc

If characters aren't a priority and you don't mind going a bit out of your way (may not be, though, if you're at WL), I highly suggest Trail's End Buffet at the Wilderness Camp Ground. It is, by far, the best bang for your breakfast buck. We had it on our departure day last time and we drove, so it wasn't a problem for us to drive to it once we checked out of our resort. Food was good, always hot and we practically had the place to ourselves. It was good stuff.

My favs in this order:
1. Tusker
2. Boma
3. CP

Best buffet on property...no characters just good American fashioned breakfasts.....usually not crowded...breakfast pizza is great....restaurants in the parks are over rated and hyped, especially the character ones.....crowded and messy....for some good vittles...hop on the boat from WL to FW and walk up to the Trail's End...you won't be sorry....

I agree, Boma is spectacular!

We found a lesser known breakfast buffet (no characters) & have eaten there twice & will go back again - Captain's Grille at The Yacht Club. It's $16.99 for adults & $9.99 for kids & had the best selection & freshest food on property of all the breakfast buffets we've done (excluding Boma - no one can match that selection!)

If you're headed by way of the Epcot Resorts, give it a try!
