Best boat rentals

Does anyone know where is the best place for boat rentals? It seems most resorts have boat rentals with the exception of SSR.

I heartily recommend VWL/WL! We've done this many times. You can go out on Bay Lake and then take the water bridge over to Seven Seas Lagoon. What could be better than boating past MK, GF, Poly and CR not to mention FW on Bay Lake?

Yep! somewhere that you can go on Bay Lake, we usually get water mice at the Contemporary as you get the DVC discount there.

My vote goes for Wilderness Lodge as well. I enjoy the access to Seven Seas Lagoon as well as Bay Lake.

Yet another vote for VWL's boat rental. It's just another reason why that's my favorite DVC.

We also go over to VWL for the boat rentals - lots of fun out there on Bay Lake.

We usually rent from the marina at the Contemporary. No particular reason other than there's usually plenty of availability and we do receive a discount.

Another thing to keep in mind regarind VWL/WL are the bike rentals that are available (if of interest to you). You can rent bikes and ride over to FW, where there is a petting zoo.

There are also very nice trails in the woods to just walk through for a stroll over to FW.

We rented at the Yacht Club last time. Our two kids were old enough (12 and 14) to drive the boats, and since it was their first time doing this, I liked the small area (you can go in the lake in front of Boardwalk/YC/BC and then over to MGM). There was almost no other traffic, and those boats (so I've heard) go slower than the ones in Bay Lake). Next time we'll probably try Contemporary or Wilderness, but for a first outing, this was great. This was a highlight of the trip for DD, age 12.

Seven Seas Lagoon/ Bay Lake boat rentals are excellent. Another great location for boat rentals is at DTD or OKW. From here you can cruise the river from DTD to POR.
