Best bet at Disneyland?

We have DVC points and we have Marriott points. Which is our better option in early July at Disneyland? Stay at VGC on our DVC points or at one of the good neighbor Marriotts on frequent stay points?

VGC is very small, and it seems to be a matter of luck and dates booking at 7 months. If you can book the Marriott Good Neighbor on Marriott points, it is probably more of a sure thing.

Good point. I think we would also be more very end of June than July for it now that I look at things. College roommate is getting married 7/1 so it's probably easier to do it before than after because of the holiday.

This June/July? It's too late for VGC unless you were to pick up a cancellation.

Yeah, Marriott. VGC is not only booked, people have waitlists on your dates already.

Ugh - roommate just got engaged over Christmas so really, she hasn't had her date set for very long (she started planning in January).

Looked at member services site and the only availability at VGC is one night (7/2) in a 2BR which is a ridiculous number of points for one night with 3 people.

We've been to DL twice, the first time staying at the Disneyland Hotel and the second time we were at I think it's a Courtyard? Might have been a Fairfield? Across the street and about a block or two down, rooms had slight Disney theming.
