We went to Bay Rouge in St. Martin's and it was very nice. It is pretty laid back and not as crowded as Orient is. If your into water sports and bar hopping, then Orient would be the better choice. Bay Rouge does have a stand for grilled items and drinks. We rented a jeep soft top and drove around on our own and had a blast on our own schedule. Driving there is an adventure though and it is not for everyone.
