best battery charger & batteries??

I have a ProMaster battery charger and batteries for AA batteries.

The charger is not charging very good and the batteries don't hold a charge very well. I am thinking of getting a new one.

What type does everyone have? Does it work? How much did it cost?

A few of the sites I frequent have mentioned Maha chargers and Powerex batteries. I use both and have the C204W charger and it works very well. I have used in domestically and internationally with no problems. I have ordered through Thomas Distributing, their prices seem very reasonable and they are quick! Of course they are in Illinois and so am I which helps!

any namebrand battery charger will work just fine, just go to wallyworld or kmart or whatever and buy them there. I use a ray o vac charger,,, that and batteries cost me 29 bucks i believe a year ago

When I bought my digital camara a couple of years ago, I also bought an expensive brand-name charger and batteries. Needless to say, it wasen't worth a darn although at the time I diden't realize it untill we went on vacation to Norfork VA and forgot the expensive charger at home. We went in the Wal-mart and bought what they had. The name is Digital. Very simple...just Digital. I can't even begin to tell you the difference. They are priced inexpensive. The basic charger and 4 AA batteries were 10.99, the deluxe quick charge charger and 4 AA batteries were 19.99. I have since purchased several sets of extra batteries to keep the kids in cd players, hand helds and what not. For such a reasonable price, that brand holds a charge For-ever-er!!
