Best Bag for WDW

I just received the Overland Juno bag which is a little smaller than the Donner bag and it looks like it will be perfect. I also own the Travelon Messenger bag which I love for around home but I was afraid of the magnetic's ruining my credit card strips.

This is a minor concern, I agree - I have four of these in different colors and have never had a problem except with the purple one, the magnet was just strong enough to interfere with my key to the kingdom card, although it did not affect my credit cards. I ended up moving them all into the back zipper pocket (against my body) and there they stayed with no further problems. Actually worked better for me that way, cause that pocket is more secure (zips) and big enough to keep a couple of cards and all my receipts in. Used the credit-card slots in the front to hold fastpasses instead

We carried a plain clear back pack. We got it at Walmart for about $10. Held everything we needed nad was easy to find stuff in. The Disney Police really liked it at the bag check lines.

I have to be super honest... I got an Overland Donner bag before our last trip. I loved the way it looked and it got rave reviews here at the Dis. I had many problems with the bag while using it in the parks. When wearing it across my body, it cut into my neck. When using it as a regular "purse", it slipped off my shoulder. There is only one zipper pocket and it's in the "fold out area", which tended to not be convenient for me.

Just had to stick in my two cents. I wanted to love this bag, but I won't be taking it back with me to DisneyWorld again. Live and learn! We all have different tastes, right?

I ALMOST ordered the Donner bag because of it's great reviews here on the DIS, but then I came across the CUTEST bag. It comes from the DisneyStore online. It's a small messenger bag with inside compartments. It comes in like 10 colors, you can choose which character you want on the bag (out of like 25), and you can have it embroidered for no extra charge!! I purchased a navy blue one with mickey mouse and my name on it

I use a small backpack. I tried a messenger bag this year, but it wasn't comfortable when I had it fully packed (too heavy - it cut into my shoulder). My backpack is very comfortable - even loaded to the gills, I hardly notice I have it on!

I wish I could see the inside of the bag from the Disney Store, but there were no other pics other than the types of bags available (duffel, sm and lg messenger, and lunch bag)...

I called our local Disney store and they carry this bag. They sell it pre-made with just a character on it and it can't be personalized, but it is the same bag. If you have a Disney store near you they may carry it and you could take a peek!!

What about small back-packs? I see lots of people using the messenger bags, but I really don't want to deal with anything like that. I'd be interested in a SMALL back-pack (small!) that's light weight and is just big enough to hold the very basics. Anyone find/use any that they really love? Thanks!

Here is a nice small backpack that I purchased at Cabelas. I use this one for Knoebels and when going to other amusement parks or fairs.

Has a nice main section with a zipper compartment on side and pocket in back, front zipper section for money and credit cards, back zipper pocket (kinda hidden, which I use for tickets, it's against the back).

I've had mine for over a year and no complaints. It's one of the best I ever owned.

I always used to carry a backpack but hated having to take it off to get at something when I needed it. I purchased the Overland Donner and am anxious to try it out this Nov. Will definitely be purchasing the strap cover so it doesn't dig into my neck though!

I have a small backpack that I've had for years and use it strictly for Disney trips. It's starting to show some wear, but, I just love it.......it's very lightweight nylon, completely washable, khaki with black trim and I've really got my money's worth.....it's probably 10 or 11 years old. I did buy another one a year ago and really don't like it......it's a heavier canvas and a bit larger.......too bulky I think. I don't even remember what brand my original is.

Thanks for the suggestion on the Cabela's bag. I'll have to check it out in person. My dad is a Cabela's freak. Him and his buddies go there for a big trip every few months or so. (We live about 40 minutes away from the big store, in eastern PA.)

I have 2 for myself (one as a pool bag and other for camping and/or traveling in car). Also purchased my daughter one. Holds here DVD's, leapster and games, CD player, etc...

Last week I had to purchase one for my aunt. She loves mine so my mom wants to give her one for Christmas. Would also make a cute diaper bag...check out the reviews. Scored a 4.9 out of 5.

Another vote for the Donner. I bought mine about three months before the trip to make sure it would work and I now use it everyday. The only complaint would be that it does not have a padded shoulder strap and it can start to hurt if you pack too much. Otherwise it is perfect.
