Best attraction to visit first at EPCOT for 2-year-old?

We have a 2 year old who sometimes likes everything, and other times not so much. I think the first attraction that we visit on our trip next month will set the tone whether or not he likes or hates attractions.

Our first park is EPCOT. What should we visit first? I'm thinking Nemo, but it's sort of dark and scary in there before you get to the aquarium and Turtle Time with Crush. Is there a way to bypass the Nemo ride?

I don't remember my kids DS4 and DD2 (at the time) being scared on Nemo and they were scared with almost everything. DD loved looking for Dory and Nemo in the tanks. They sat with the adults for Crush, but I sure enjoyed that one. I would ask a CM if you can bypass the ride and just go to aquarium/Crush. You might be able to go in the out since the aquarium area is a go at your own pace.

For some reason my kids love Living with the Land. DS loves boats, so I'm sure that's why he liked it. They also liked looking at the balloons in the Land.

Imagination was not to exciting. Not what it was years ago.

We also kept them entertained by doing the Kidcot stops. They could color for a few minutes and pick out their own color cut out. Be careful though, last times we went they were sponsored by Sharpie, so the markers were permanent. I think I'm going to bring washables with me next time.

If you have a Disney Visa, I would make sure and do the character greeting in Innoventions west. I think it is in the afternoon though.

Also, the characters are fabulous in EPCOT. Most of them face characters. The princesses are especially attentive to shy little boys.

I don't think Nemo is reall scary, maybe jsut a little dark. Turtle Talk is awesome...just be prepared--if Crush talks to your child he may want to talk to you too!!!
I love figment, so that is a must, but kinda' weird.
The play area in in the area you come out to from Mission Space
is fun for a little one too.

My little guy was afraid of everything last year, but he loved Living with the Land boat ride.... over & over he rode that thing!

He also enjoyed the boat ride in Mexico, it's kind of hidden in the back of the building. Crush was fun, but he was a little afraid of him so we sat in the back several times where he could watch and not feel like Crush was going to talk to him - you can bypass the Nemo ride, which we did multiple times because my son didn't like it (in one scene one of the fish is mean looking-too much for my guy!)

You could go to Turtle Talk first- there are separate entrances for each. Nemo was dark- and there was a scary part- it goes by fast if the ride keeps moving. We got stuck right in front of the angler fish (the scary one with lotsa teeth). I think your ds will be fine on it- but after a few rides to get used to attractions in Disney.

Journey To Imagination is surprisingly intense at a few points- OK for kids once they are used to attractions but not for the first one.

The boat ride in Mexico is a good starter ride. Or Living with the Land as pp suggested.

If your 2 yr old likes water, and it is warm out, make sure you bring a swimsuit/diaper/towel so they can play in the fountains. That was BY FAR my DD2s favorite things to do! She had the most fun doing that! She also loved the hot air balloons in The Land (they are hanging from the ceiling and she thought those were the coolest thing!) Nemo and the aquarium was a hit too. She loved all the fountains, especially those around the World.
