What are your favorites for Asian Food in Disney? Both sit down and quick service? I love gourmet chinese food.

Nine Dragons?
Noodle Station at MK?
Sunshine Terrace at Epcot's FW?
Kona, Ohana?

You get it... suggestions, inputs?

I really enjoyed the Noodle Station at MK, had the Pad Thai and shrimp noodle bowl. Both were very yummy and the portions were large. My DH can't wait to go back, and we have Thai/Chinese/Vietmenese food all the time. I would definately give this place a try for a quick delicious and different meal.

I second the vote for the Noodle Station. My DH and I make a point to eat there when we visit MK. We were pleasantly surprised with the food quality when we first tried it.

Enjoy where ever you decide!

Sorry, we ate at the Noodle Station right after it opened and found it disgusting. Food quality was below the frozen entrees you find at the grocers, plus, the cost was right up there with our local sit down Chinese restaurant. Wound up costing us (family of 4, two kids) over $30 and we left 90% of it uneaten. We have always had tasty, well seasoned food at 9 Dragons. Portions are huge there too. Same family of 4 can split the family dinner for 2, order extra order of egg rolls, and have food left over. Ohana is good but I really wouldn't call it asian, especially now that they replaced the rice with scalloped potatoes. The food is quite tasty there however.

'Ohana isn't really Asian, that style of dining is actually Brazilian.

I'd say Nine Dragons is a very good Chinese restaurant, we've been twice and have had excellent meals both times. I'm a hot and sour soup nut, and they make the best I've had.

We also like the noodle bowls at Tomorrowland Terrace - good size, not greasy like some I've had, and some great Thai flavors in them.

We eat Thai and chinese every week and I've tried the noodle station at MK and just can't stand the food, sorry to disagree with the other posters. Both times I just didn't eat most of it as it was greasy and just didn't taste very good.

I like the CS, Yakitori House at Japan in Epcot. I really enjoy the Kaki-Age Udon. It's all a matter of taste, DW doesn't like this place.

My family didn't really like the Tommorowland Noodle Station. I don't remember the cost, but it's worse than your average take-out restaurant. However, this is my personal opinion and we did go during the Christmas holiday, so perhaps it was just a bad time to eat there.

However, the Japan pavilion serves awesome Japanese food. We loved "Tempura Kiku" and "Yakitori House." Very authentic food and setting. I have read a lot of reviews on "Nine Dragons" and overall people have had good experiences. I don't think you really can go that wrong in terms of authenticity for the most part in the World Showcase pavilions. Hope this helped!

How weird! We ate there once, I had no idea. Seemed like Asian-style to me. :confused3

I don't think you can get gourmet asian food there. Come to the San Francisco Bay Area for that! :sunny:

We got a nice non-asian dessert at Kona last time we were there. I wanted to go in and look at the holiday decor, and since they are so strict about letting ppl park there, I just made an afternoon ressie for just dessert :goodvibes

Yep :) That type of restaurant is called a churrascaria, a "Brazilian barbecue". I would have suggested looking one up in your hometown if you liked it, but I noticed that you're a vegetarian. ;)

Pixie_Dust, we do have a little Vietnam here in Orlando, though it's pretty much in downtown. The Vietnamese food here is fantastic and supposed to be some of the best in the country. :)

Sadly, there USED to be a gourmet Asian restaurant at WDW--Sum Chows. But hardly a soul went and when the Boardwalk opened, it went out of business.

We ate there years ago, before I went veggie. The side dishes all seemed Asian to me, I guess you mean the churrascaria part is the meat on skewers. But I haven't been there for the new menu.

Anything good there for Asian fare? Chakranadi Chicken Shop?

DH & I just love the potstickers at Chakrandi, they are served in a spicey broth & are delicious. The potstickers at the Noodle Station in MK were hard as a rock & very dry.

I suppose you could have called them Asian American, but they were fairly American-ish even before the new menu. A good churrascaria has great side dishes, as well, and I think the new sides are a step up from the old ones. :)

beachesncream, it's not Thai, just the chicken noodle bowl has some Thai flavors: lemongrass, basil, cilantro, lime.

We thought the potstickers at the chicken shop in the AK were just eh.

none of the above--if you want "gourmet chinese".

I suggest you go off property to Ming Court on International Drive.
