My daughter and her boyfriend are planning a trip to Disney and will be using our DVC for their hotel accommodations (they're getting enough points for a studio). Our home resort is BCV but I am wondering which resort would be the most fun for a couple of 22 yr olds? We've already been to BWV.

Begrudgingly, because a I am not a fan (of the hotel portion) have to say Beach Club. Due to DVC status, the proximity to Epcot and HS and the amazing pool area. Boardwalk a MUCH better overall resort though, imho, taking into account rooms and service and not having to walk outside to get to room. So a better option if they like a bit more serenity imho.

If they’re still kids at heart, Poly hands down.

If things are more open when they visit, BLT is good for access to late night MK visits and all the bars/dining around the MK resorts.

When DH and I were younger (before kids), though maybe I was mid-20's, I was all about monorail bar crawls and evenings at MK. But we always stayed at Fort Wilderness.....

I guess it depends a bit on when they are going. With so much of the Boardwalk being closed down that needs to be considered, if things get back to "normal" then BW & Epcot offer a lot of things to do. Just with the ability to walk to 2 parks BW/BC would all be high on that list.

With park hopping back, definitely BCV. Can't beat the pool, or the ability to pop over to Epcot before heading back to the hotel. With Epcot the way it is right now, it's full day park if you're only going once (in my opinion), but the ability to spend a few hours in the world showcase at night throughout the trip is something we always love doing. Also a big plus is that they can walk to HS - if they're interested in being able to rope drop HS walking to it is a huge plus. We don't like DS, but if they want to spend time there SSR is good like someone mentioned above. If they are into animals, AKL could be good too. The downside to AKL is transportation, but if they are driving or okay with spending money on Ubers when Disney transportation isn't working out, then it's not a big deal. AKL is gorgeous, you get to see animals from the room, and we love Sanaa for dinner, and Boma for breakfast (although there's not opening date for that yet). For the past 3 years my husband and I have started at AKL for a few days and moved over to BCV for the rest of our trip.

Hmmm ... Poly is easier with access to the monorail. Even though it's our home resort, we have never stayed at BCV and avoid BWV because we are from the Jersey Shore. We are lucky enough to see that stuff all summer long!

Fort Wilderness is our FAVORITE! Her boyfriend is big into fishing and my daughter is an Animal Science major specializing in Equine Therapy. I'm just afraid to put them so far out from the parks. Bar crawls aren't their thing, but a night at Jelly Rolls and a few drinks I think they'd enjoy.

My 20s kids prefer any Epcot resort to be in walking distance to WS.
Agreed. Beach Club is a great place for that age. Walking distance to Epcot and the Boardwalk is a nice stroll for a young couple. You're next to the Yacht Club, which offers some adult atmosphere.

Depends on when they go, no monorail service to Poly for a while now!

Honestly it depends on what they are into.

I know I'm weird, but when I was in my 20s, I would have been ALL ABOUT Animal Kingdom Lodge (still am, but not right now with the limited offerings, so until Jambo reopens, it's a nope), and that would have been the "most fun" for me.
The Poly has been a dream resort since I first saw it when I was 9. FINALLY staying there in July for my 50th - assuming they stay on-track for the date they first have rooms available. So fulfilling a dream is the "most fun" for me.

YC/BC/BCV/BW/BWV - I don't do pools, so the aura of Stormalong Bay is lost on me, and I'm not a big "let's go out and drink" person so the stuff on the Boardwalk is meaningless to me. None of those would be "most fun" for me. But if they do pools or are into bars and stuff, it may be the "most fun" for them.
SSR looks and feels to me like any old golf condo complex anywhere - also I'm allergic to shopping for anything but necessities, so while I like some of the restaurants at Springs, I'm fine with using Disney transportation to get there. SSR would definitely not "most fun" for me. But if they live for shopping and stuff and like the idea of walking to Springs and/or like the idea of living on a golf course, that may be the "most fun" for them.
Wilderness Lodge does absolutely nothing for me, but if they are into that style and/or outdoors stuff, that may be the "most fun" for them.

I think more info about their interests and likes/dislikes is needed to get more accurate recommendations.

I was totally going to say Poly until you said animal science....AKL is so gorgeous and the lobby is SO romantic!! All the different animal viewing areas are great, as are all the cast members who do the cultural talks. The food is great too, although limited now, it sounds like. Obviously they’ll have a great time anywhere, though.

Poly still has access to monorail via the TTC, which is actually closer to some rooms than the Poly’s station.

But honestly seems moot because OP is 22, and unless they are very very lucky, a typical 22 year old does not have the kind of budget for the Poly.

I’d vote Gran Destino or a Riviera tower room (The new room type that only sleeps 2). Both are more budget friendly but the resorts are ritzy and fun.

My kids are not big drinkers, and they don't use the pool. They like being able to go into WS for the occasional drink and snack/meal and they also enjoy being able to walk to Epcot and DHS. They usually don't mention resort restaurants but they really liked Ale & Compass at YC for the food and convenience. They ate a few breakfasts and dinners there. I thought they would end up cancelling some of the ADRs but they used all of them. For deluxe money, I think the Epcot resorts give you the most bang for your buck in terms of pricing and walkability.

They never wanted to stay at AK, mostly because of convenience perceptions. They feel it is too far from the parks.

They also like the monorail resorts but those are at the high end of deluxe prices and you can't walk to Epcot. For the MK resorts, my Disfan youngest prefers Poly. CL if possible pooh:

They are trying Wilderness Lodge next fall.

I completely forgot about AK! How difficult is it to get to the parks? I think Hollywood Studios, Magic Kingdom and Animal Kingdom would be definitely on their list. EPCOT if they had time leftover

Sort of yes and no on the Poly monorail topic. Yes, the Poly monorail station is closed for construction right now. But one can walk over to the TTC (very close) or even over to GF (further walk, won’t be good for those with mobility concerns) to catch the monorail. Bus service to MK is available, as is watercraft. We were there around New Years and the lack of Poly monorail station had little to no impact on our stay given the abundant alternatives, from our perspective.
