Best (as in most fun) Resort for a Young Couple

I completely forgot about AK! How difficult is it to get to the parks? I think Hollywood Studios, Magic Kingdom and Animal Kingdom would be definitely on their list. EPCOT if they had time leftover

Not necessarily 'difficult' to get to parks but you can't walk to them. in a monorail resort or in an Epcot resort we feel more in the middle of things.

My wife and I stay at either AKL or GDT, people make far too much out of the time thing. It takes no more than 5 extra minutes to any of the theme parks... Of course AKL time wise is the winner to AK... It's less than 10 minutes on the bus to either HS or EPCOT, it's about 17 minutes to MK. So in real time you are saving maybe 5 to 10 minutes in a 10-12 hour day... Really? Ha
Take the Skyliner to Epcot... You wait in line get on the Skyliner... It takes 5 minutes to hit EPCOT. In the morning the issue is, it places you in WS and the attractions are in the front of the park, so you spend 5 to 10 minutes more walking back to the front to get to an attraction. Ha UBER

Poly still has access to monorail via the TTC, which is actually closer to some rooms than the Poly’s station.

But honestly seems moot because OP is 22, and unless they are very very lucky, a typical 22 year old does not have the kind of budget for the Poly.

I’d vote Gran Destino or a Riviera tower room (The new room type that only sleeps 2). Both are more budget friendly but the resorts are ritzy and fun.

True, but still a hike if you aren't on that side of the resort and you were viewing true monorail access as a perk!

My children in their 20's like BCV for the walk to DHS for Star Wars. The SAB pool area can be beach party fun, or hot-tub romantic. We've loved AKL/Kidani when there, but you are definitely away from in all. Everyone has to bus/drive to Animal Kingdom, so being at AKL isn't really much advantage for access to AK; whereas being able to walk vs. bus/drive/skyliner to DHS is an advantage. YMMV

My ds 23, 25 stayed at pop because of the skyliner to epcot and Hs. My boys are all about saving money and the the bar seen.
