OK, I have a question. I would love everyone's input on this one. As far as food, snacks, drinks (alc. and non-alc.), desserts go...

Have you been someplace on DISNEY WORLD PROPERTY that you were amazed by the food portions for the "low cost" that you paid? You felt you got a GREAT DEAL? And it's a part of the regular menu?
What restaurants/snack stations/beverage places have the biggest portions for the best prices? What restaurants surprized you with a great meal that was worth EVERY PENNY you paid?

I have my own thoughts, but I wanted to get some other people's ideas and input!!!! We have two different families (friends) of ours that are wanting to take a very budgeted vacation to Disney World. My family and I almost always get the dinning plan, so even though we do pay attention to things, we don't always notice "the biggest amount, best food for the money"...

I know there are TONS of "budget vacation tips" out there, and that is not really what I am looking for exactly...I just want to hear experiances that you all have had with getting "more for your money" when buying food at Disney World...Thanks!

crystal palace breakfast buffet. great food. i've also heard, that if you go right at the end of breakfast, they will start bringing out lunch food...and you can eat that, too! if not, then breakfast is very good...and with a buffet, a lot of food for the price.

Breakfast buffet at Trail's End @ Fort Wilderness Campground is reasonable & alot of good food.

Also, I thought Beaches & Cream was very good food & very affordable. I don't know if I'd say the servings were huge, but we were stuffed when we left!

I agree with Crystal Palace. I used to feel that way about Cape May as well but feel the food quality has really gone down. Not that the food is amazing by any means- but I always feel like Cosmic Rays doesn't cheat me out of my money for the food- decent and enough for us to split. Now you have my brain working, I'll have to think more.
Oh- Sunshine Seasons as well usually feels like a good deal for pretty good food.

The salmon meal at Tusker House, pre-conversion, was easily a Noble Best Buy. Really good food, at a really good price.

There haven't been many others, though. Mostly, Disney restaurants have either really good food, or a really good price, but not both ;)

Even my kids loved the chicken with rice. My salmon was awesome. Can't wait to go back.

I have to vote BOMA here. Never been disappointed and love the spices in some of those dishes.

TS at Wolf Gang Pucks downtown disney westside....
1 WHOLE chicken with sides for 19.95 or something like that..

Great food and huge portions at WPE in DTD next to the XMas shop, EoS in DTD too, the food is great and cheap.

My family likes Hollywood & Vine in MGM. I know reviews have been mixed, but we always like the variety of food offered. From the everyday to things not usually on buffets. It is kind of noisy, but has that busy diner feel to it. For counter service, we like Pecos Bill in MK and Sunshine Seasons in The Land in EPCOT. Sunshine Seasons has great choices to meet many tastes, and we just love the fixins bar at Pecos Bill's.

I agree with Crystal Palace.

Another vote for Crystal Palace. We had dinner there in Aug, and it was probably the best meal we've had on property in 10 visits. I was VERY surprised as it is a buffet. It's not exactly cheap, but the quality is excellent, and the restaurant is beautiful.

I'd also say Beaches & Cream. Reasonable prices, large tasty sandwiches (my 13 yo DS and I split a steak sandwich & onion rings and it was plenty since we saved room for ice cream).

We ate at Crystal Palace for lunch and thought it was a great value. They had a wonderful salmon and a nice variety. The kids buffet was great too....dd4.5 loved it.

We also like to do Ohana's for breakfast. It's also all you can eat, and will take care of you for lunch as well!
