Best and closest DTD Hotel to Pleasure Island...

Ok, so me and my gf are going for a nice little holiday trip in Orlando. Staying at Pop Century for 2 nights (florida residence discount) and Royal Pacific for 1 night (Islands of Adventure employee discount)

I wanted to make a suprise night that she does not know about. Even though the Disney Value resorts are cheaper than DTD resorts for florida residents, I wanted to get a hotel that was in only a short walking distance to Pleasure Island. We are college students and plan on drinking at Pleasure Island, and neither of us want to have the burdon of driving to and from a resort after drinking (especially since I have had a bad reputation of getting pulled over on Disney property when I used to work at Magic Kingdom).

So I found a rate at the Grosvenor for $60 dollars. I have stayed there once before and it's not the best hotel but im really not stretching for quality. I've also found a rate for $69.99 at the Best Western Buena Vista and $98 for the Hilton. Sorry for dragging out my question with all the filler in my post... but which hotel is the closest walking distance to Pleasure Island and which is the best price for quality?

Of those, I'd pick either the BW or Hilton. Lately, there has been nothing nice really said about the Grovesnor.

Don't know what your travel dates are but I noticed at www.travelzoo.com there is an $85 rate at Buena Vista Palace across the street from DTD. With the $12 (!) resort fee and taxes that bumps the rate up, but the Palace is a few steps up quality wise from Grosvenor and you're still close to DTD.

The Hilton is BY FAR the nicest and closest. For $98 it's a very good value. I'd look no further.

Why not just stay in the value room, and take WDW resort transportation?
