Best alcoholic drink at Ohana's

Best drink at Ohana's? I heard about the lapu lapu years ago but I am going to let my 21 year old twins get 1 drink, so wondering which is the biggest/best since 1 only! Lol.

With a Lapu Lapu you pay for a pineapple. Go with the margarita they have. I forgot the name. You can always take them to Trader Sam's.

you can get the lapu lapu without the pineapple and it costs less. I like that and the backscratcher is good and fun. The sunset margarita it also good...... and the bahama mama.

The Lapu Lapu in the pineapple is what I would do. It is a must at least once.

Sounds like the Lapu Lapu minus the pineapple is the best answer... But I'm curious when you say "Let your 21 year olds" get a drink, what exactly does that mean?? lol

What it means is that I am going to pay the over $50 for them to each have an expensive drink!

The lapu lapu IN the pineapple is totally worth doing once. But those suckers are HEAVY, which isn't a problem if you're not trying to walk back to Tuvalu with them

Gotcha, just that “you’re buying” not that you’re allowing them to drink. Makes a lot more sense.

I'd agree with Lapu Lapu just for the "show" of the pineapple. Though, my favorite drink there is the Polynesian Mai Tai.

The Lapu Lapu is nice for the experience but it's a super weak drink IMO. I would recommend the Mai Tai or the Backscratcher.

I'd say go to Trader Sam's instead. Get them each a drink in a souvenir glass. They can keep the glass to remember the time their parent bought them a drink for the first time.

My favorite is the Island Sunset. It’s an old one but they will still make it if you ask.

I must say (based on my extensive collection of them) the backscratcher is my favorite. The souvenir backscratcher helps put it over the top- but be forewarned that depending on maturity level it can lead to great duels and plenty of poking of each other for the rest of the night if not the entire vacation!

Also the Lapu Lapu and Backscratcher are very similar drinks - really depends on if they favor whiskey (backscratcher) or strong rum (Lapu Lapu) to top off their tropical juices and rum.

I was wondering the same. This makes sense since I don't even let myself have the expensive drinks when I am paying.

Me personally, I’d have the Mai Tai. This is a special occasion, I’d go with Lapu Lapu for sure! Good times!
