I'm getting ready to book our flight out of Honolulu on Continental Airlines. There are two options:
HNL to EWR (NY/ NJ) that departs at 10:45pm; this is a 9 hour flight. We'd then connect to MCO for another 2:45 minute flight. This would be my first choice because I'm thinking we could (if all goes according to plan) sleep for 7 or 8 hours of the HNL - NJ part of the flight since it is overnight. Following me so far...?
The other option is HNL to IAH (Houston, Tx) departing at 10:15pm; this is a 7:30 minute flight. We'd then connect to MCO for another 2:20 minute flight.
My question is for those of you familiar with these routes, at which airport are we more likely to encounter cancelled or delayed flights? We will be flying early December, so I'm sure bad weather may be a factor here.
And for those of you familiar with Continental Airlines, what have your experiences with this airlines been?
I hate flying, and the thought of a 13+ hour travel time really freaks me out
. Mahalo for any advice you can give me on this one.
