Best advise for renting a car for one day?

While we are staying at CBR at Disney and for one day mid-trip we will rent a car and go to Universal. I was wondering what is the easiest accessible car rental place to rent a car? I heard Alamo and National were onsite, but are there other car rental agencies that are nearby or offer free shuttles?

Also, any recs on how to get the lowest rate possible on a weekday economy car.

I would compare each in terms of price for the 1 day. I bet Alamo gives you a better rate.

Depending on your schedule for the Universal day, you may want to rent the car the night before. You can look up the hours for pick-up and drop-off for the Alamo and National desks at the Dolphin and Car Care Center, but I recall that they weren't open all that early or late. So if you want to be at Universal at opening time you may have to pick up the car the night before.
