I love Disneyland, but have not been for 3 long years!!
I'm planning a fall trip and would love opinions on best hotels off-site that can accommodate 6 (including 4 crazy teens!) I've never been with this many people before and need some ideas!
I need it to offer a free breakfast and be really clean.....other than that we are flexible.

Peacock Suites has 2 Queen Bed Suites with a Sofa Sleeper. You can call and request a murphy bed, too.

No breakfast, but they do have kitchenettes. We buy groceries and make easy stuff in the rooms.

My aunt is very... erm... particular about hotels, and she loved the place. Kept commenting on how clean the room and grounds were. Worth checking out.

You might consider getting two connecting rooms instead of one large one. That would give you two of everything -- bathrooms, TVs, microwaves, refrigerators. We found this a better way to go.

Staybridge Suites. It's a few minutes away but they have a nice 2 bedroom suite with a main kitchen/living room area.

We stayed in the Castle Inn and suites and the room was huge. No breakfast but they had a fridge and microwave in the room.

The new Homewood Suites is opening in Sept, currently taking reservations starting with Nov 1st. Can't get much cleaner than a brand new hotel!

We attended the Star Wars Celebration in April and stayed at the new Springhill Suites on the corner of Harbor and Katella. We loved it! Our room had two queen beds, bunk beds (teens okay with that?), and a sleeper sofa. There was also a minifridge and lots of counter space. The pool was on the small side, but the view of the fireworks at night made up for it. The breakfast was included in the cost of the room and was pretty good -- cereal, waffles, eggs, bacon, toast, fruit, etc. The walk was 10-15 minutes. (I actually clocked it at 11, and that's with a stroller.) What's nice is that there is a CVS right underneath if you need any extra stuff.

On the Disneyland podcast, Tom did a review of it, and he really enjoyed it. (Thanks for the review! It helped us with the decision of where to stay.) I think this is the proper link from 11/13/14.

Thanks guys!! Great ideas so far! :worship:
I have stayed at Staybridge before and really liked it. For this trip we would like to be a little closer though.
I have also stayed at Castle, and while I love the proximity, the rooms were not particularly clean and the beds were super uncomfortable. Of course that was over 10 years ago and I realize management can change and things can get better.
SpringHill is on my shortlist and looks absolutely awesome!
My husband and I have also been researching tonight and looking at the condos that are near Disney. They are individually owned and seem to rent for about $200 to $300 a night. Has anyone had experience with those? They look really nice and the reviews are good!

Ramada Maingate has large suites! I stayed in one last year. It's basically two regular hotel rooms on either side, with a living area in between. So there was 2 full baths, 4 queen beds, 2 refrigerators, 2 microwaves, plus a dining table in the living area, a sofa sleeper, and 3 TVs. We are a family of 4 and went with my parents. It worked out great. Very spacious, about 950 sq ft I think. Ramada has a free breakfast, not a ton of options, but a good start. The building the suites are in is about 2 years old and is in the back of the property. We requested to stay on the top floor and it was quiet and we could see the fireworks too! They are doing construction right now, but at the front of the property. So not sure how loud that would be,. They were doing construction last year when we were there and I never noticed the noise in our room. We loved being walking distance to the parks. They call it their 3 room suite, here is a link, scroll down to the suites.

Have a great trip!

Desert Inn and Suites has a C2 Parlor Suite with 4 queen beds. It's basically connecting rooms with a little parlor on the front of one of them and a table and chairs in the other. Very roomy, and usually fairly inexpensive. It's clean and basic--and CLOSE!

Besides the new Springhill Suites, I'd look at the Residence Inn Maingate. You get a nice breakfast and you can get a two story townhouse. Mom & Dad upstairs with a door and own bathroom and the kids downstairs.

There is also the Residence Inn on Clementine. Free breakfast and manager's special in the evenings. Really nice staff. They will even put away your groceries for you if you receive a delivery while you are out.

Even better, give your grocery list to the front desk by 9am and it will be in your by 1p. The breakfasts are great. Love the space.

I saw the new courtyard across the street from HoJo's advertises 3 bedroom suites.

No free breakfast, but the Marriott Suites can accommodate 6
While the Marriott Suites could technically accommodate 6, I would not recommend it. The beds are doubles, not queens, so that is not the best set-up. Plus only one bathroom for all of you would be chaotic! We were a party of 3 adults and one child when we stayed there and it was just right for us.

Your recommendations have been so helpful. We've referred many friends to the RI based on your experience and they've all returned very satisfied.

Another Desert Inn recommendation. Location is fantastic. We used to stay in the C2 suite...two queens in each bedroom, plus a parlor and another room with sofa bed. We tried the newer set up that eliminates the parlor area for a second sofa bed. My teens liked have another bed.
