I am looking for the best hotel to stay and actually relax for 2 days, no parks! We will have just been at Saratoga Springs for a week going to parks daily. I am thinking the Beach Club but looking for opinions. Looking for somewhere new. My signature shows where we have been.

It will be my husband and I and our 2 DD's 11, and just turning 4.

Thanks! :)

I think any of the Beach/Yacht/Boardwalk are great choices just for the walking distance factor and there being SO MUCH to do, whether you want to relax or dance the night away or catch a game at espn, etc...

For just plain quiet, I've always loved strolling the water at Port Orleans after some breakfast bengiets...

We stay at BC every summer. It's our favorite corner of the world....great pool, dining and boardwalk right across lake. Can't go wrong! We always build resort/pool days into our trip because we enjoy being there so much.

At the deluxe level, I would say hands down BC. The pool alone is worth it and with the loop with the boat and/or walking distance to four other resorts, it is ideal.

At moderate level, I would definitely say POR or POFQ, for its location to DTD and the bus hub to and from other resorts. While I would take a transfer from a park in the morning, in the evening it is a great way to end the day with dinner at a resort, and then go back to DTD and take the water taxi back to the resort. With the access to SSR and OKW from DTD by water taxi, I fell in love with two undiscovered gems, the Turf Club at SSR and Olivia's Cafe at OKW. I think they are two of the best kept secrets on property.

I honestly did a solo, 8 day no parks, all resorts trip a few years ago and POR was ideal.

At the value level, I would say POP, because I would like to stay in my "era" of growing up and being able to get over to AoA and look around.

Perhaps AKL? It's a bit more isolated than the EPCOT area resorts. We love to sit on our rooms balcony and watch the animals ... It's very relaxing.

I think you're on the right track. Any of the EPCOT resorts are great for hanging out and there are lots to do.

AKL would be another suggestion. Between the Savannah, the surroundings and the restaurants, it might make a nice couple of days.

I'd pick YC over BC. Both get to enjoy the same great pool but YC is a more relaxing resort in my opinion. The lobby is more chill and the YC rooms all have full balconies whereas half of BC rooms only have standing ones. I like the light airy feel of the BC lobby more than the dark YC lobby but I want my balcony.

If the pool isn't as important I would pick AKL. I would probably do a 1 bedroom at AKV if I were to choose this resort for a relaxing vacation.

I think AKL would be a great resort for 2 days of relaxing after a week of going to the parks. The resort is out away from everything and provides a quiet and relaxing atmosphere, IMO. The pool is great and there are a lot of places around the resort to sit and relax and take in the beautiful surroundings.

Wow, you've stayed at a lot of resorts. We stayed at BC and YC but we liked YC better. My DD was 10 when we stayed at YC and she liked that it was fancier and less hectic than BC, which we stayed at the previous year. Maybe the Swan or Dolphin would also be a good choice, we're doing CR garden wing this year but I'm thinking of trying one of those next year.

I think AKL is the best relaxing hotel too but we just stayed at Kidani our last trip and visited AKL a few times that week.

I think we will book YC or BC and enjoy the boardwalk and pools.

Thanks!! :cool1:

My favorite for weekend no-park trips is WL. I like being on the lake, either just riding the transportation boats around or renting my own at the marina. I like riding bikes back and forth to FW and the activities there. There are so many nooks and crannies to explore at the resort that you always have something to do - if you get tired of just relaxing on the beach or by the pool. If you do decide to venture out, you have easy access to the monorail resorts for extra dining options without hitting the parks.

I like the Epcot resorts area, but because of the easy access to two parks, I am much more inclined to visit a park while staying in that area than I am at WL.
