at, what do you use your kitchen table for??

Mine has suddenly become a work bench for a scout project because the workbench in the garage is full of stuff. My son and his dad are building a toolbox and there is lots of hammering going on.

Don't even get me started on my dining room table. My son decided over a week ago to begin some huge Lego project so it's covered from one end to the other.

We don't have a kitchen table...just an island with bar stools...

We don't have a kitchen table...our kitchen is way too tiny to fit a table in it. We do have a dining room table...which we use for everything but dining.

Our "family table" is used rarely for meals and is a catchall for crap. My eating place is the recliner and DH's is the couch. Its just us now, so what is the point of eating at the table?

That is exactly how it is at my in-laws!
Each has a stand-up tray they use to hold their plate, drink, & condiments!

Well, I know what I don't use it for...don't use my kitchen counters for that, either.

We eat at the kitchen table so it's not usually too bad, but right now we have newspapers on it and my 7yo is painting. The dining room often used as homework central for the kids and they tend to leave their books, papers, and everything else you can imagine there. And my DH works there sometimes and leaves things out. Drives me crazy, though, because it's the first room that someone sees when they walk in the front door.

We use it for the laptop, newspapers, crafts. Most of the time we use it for dining, I think it is really important to sit down as a family at a table.
