I am watching the weather channel on TV.
Beryl - tropical depression for the East coast this weekend :furious:

We fly out of ALB to MCO on Sat, 7/24 at 7:30 am EST and supposed to arrive at 10:20 am EST

What happens when your flight is delayed ?

What if it can not take off till the next day ?

Refund one night at WDW Wilderness Lodge ?

What about our 1900 Park Fair dinner reservation our 1st night - bakery orders- Dog bones & Castle mini cake ?

None of the hurricane sites even bother to mention it so it isn't even a tropical depression yet. The one thing I did see was there were some storms in the Bahamas that they were watching. The last I heard these might bring some rain but no one expected a tropical system from them. If you are leaving Saturday, then you shouldn't have any problems.

I posted earlier on they were watching it, and to make sure you bring ponchos.

Here's to hoping it just is a rain maker and nothing more.

Accuweather had it at that time very possible to be a TS. This is what they say today:

An area of showers and thunderstorms associated with an upper level trough has been the main focus of tropical activity in the Atlantic Basin the past few days. Some shear continues to limit the organization of this system overall. In addition there appear to be two centers of circulation competing with each other. Another limiting factor is that the surface pressure remains relatively high across the region and will have to lower considerably before the system would truly become a serious threat. Computer models suggest the the shear will relax some over the next couple of days, so the system is expected to become a bit better organized. Steering winds should eventually take this system to the west or northwest and at the least rainfall in the path of this system should be enhanced. As this tropical moisture feeds into the eastern United States, it will interact with a stalled frontal boundary, resulting in heavy rainfall. It is still too early to tell where the heavy rain is most likely, but keep chacking back here for the latest details on this system.

Well, darn. I leave Sunday. :worried:

On the plus, maybe it will be just a few showers and they keep it from being 83710897408 degrees with blistering sun! :)

Just be prepared, I feel there's going to be some rain, but just hope that's all.

I hate for it to rain on anyone's vacation, but Florida is still in need of much rain. So it will probably be welcomed by the locals.

Just be ready and you can still have fun. Don't forget extra pairs of shoes to change in to mid day. Some folks also carry anextra pair of shoes too.

We are styaing at WL - 6/24 -> 7/2
Our $1 store poncho's and extra sneakers are packed - both wet ? You'll then see up in flip-flops :rotfl:

We'll be at All Star Sports from 6/25 to 7/1. I've been looking forward to this trip since October, I'll lose my gourd if it rains more than a few showers here and there!

For The North Atlantic...caribbean Sea And The Gulf Of Mexico...

The Broad And Disorganized Area Of Low Pressure Continues To Be Centered A Couple Of Hundred Miles Northeast Of The Bahamas.
Upper-level Winds Could Become A Little More Favorable For Slow Development During The Next Day Or So...as The System Drifts Toward The West-northwest.

Elsewhere...tropical Storm Formation Is Not Expected Through Saturday.

Here it is, July 19th and Beryl is just meandering up the NE coast....

Like they are on the news this morning saying the strong storms last night were Beryls fault and I say hey.... thats an old name, I KNOW I read about Beryl on the disboards like a month ago.... so I search and yup.... tropical storms bounce around for months at a time......

Guess I will start storm watching next week.... that will be my month out.

It is headed for North Carolina and then up the East Coast. Florida shouldn't really be affected by this.

Tropical storms do not bounce around for months at a time. Weeks maybe, months no. When this thread was orginally written there was not a Tropical Storm. Some convection flared up a few days ago and now we have Beryl. I'm glad I don't have a NC beach weekend planned. ;)

Beryl will not have any effect on Orlando or the Florida peninsula.
