Hi All!!
Gorgeous Sunny day here today!! We hae all been a little draggy today after being out so late last night. Had to take my sons out shoe shopping....what a NIGHTMARE!!! They both hate to shop & I literally have to force them to buy new stuff because it involves them needing to go with me & try things on! I am soo glad that's over!
DH is getting on my nerves today....nothing in particular he's doing...just the sound of his voice is making me want to strangle him. Do any of you ever fell that way or is it just me???

Lars, my DS is the same way about shopping. When he was younger I had him point out things in the Lands End catalog so I could order them. Now when we go, it is in and out, no shopping, just buying.

Yes, sometimes I feel that way about DH, but then I wonder if it is him or me. I wait a day and things go back to normal.

Another gray day with showers. Only up to 65º. It is JUNE 21, for heaven's sake.

It rained so hard here today that I felt like I was in the middle of a monsoon! I never care about the weather, but at this point, I've really had it. I am mildewed.

Evening Angels!

What a great day for me today!!!

First, I got my package today from Valerie - LTM!!!! We were going out the door, so I had to wait until I got back to open it. It was killing me. I got a beautiful lime green tote bag, 3 flavored lip glosses, Minnie Mouse altoids, hand lotion, a green M&M t-shirt, a shamrock bookmark, a freezer bottle which keeps your drinks cold, and THE BEST gift of all a Clay Aiken CD which she made of his songs from the show!! I'm going to wear it out listening to it!!! You did a fantastic job Valerie!!! Thanks so much!!

Second, my DH and I were going out to look for a pool, but we ended up going past a car dealership and we bought a 2003 Honda Odyssey!!! It is dark blue - sorry no lime green ones - they must not know this color yet!! We will probably get a pool eventually.

Just got done chatting w/ quite a few angels and John. Great talking to everyone!!

Gina, I hear ya. My lawn is like a big wet sponge and I'm actually growing moss in my backyard!
We're actually suppossed to get sunshine tomorrow, I'll believe it when I see it!

Lorraine, how do you go from buying a pool to bringing home a brand new vehicle?? I'm thinking about taking DH pool shopping!

I'm a little bit worried today about my new nephew, Darren born yesterday. He's in intensive care with fluid in his lungs. Today I got a call that they put him on a ventilator.
I'm currently waiting for an update.

We're just home from a soggy baseball game.....it's only 59 degrees too....happy first day of summer!!!
The game was a success however because the underdogs (Matt's team - last in the league standings) just beat the undefeated (until tonight!) leaders!!!!!

We also got a call this afternoon announcing that Matt's been named to the All-Star team. (OK, proud parent moment over!)

Sandi - I'm certainly keeping Darren and the rest of your family in my thoughts.

Congrats Lorraine - now you can be the chauffer for an Angel escape!!!

Can't wait to see your new look Melissa.

I won't be checking in again until Monday evening......Lew & I are heading down to Newport for our overnight stay (compliments of his boss!) and tthr kiddies will be with grandma. We're looking forward to our spa experience during the day and going to dinner tomorrow night!!

I'll keep baby Darren in my prayers. If it makes you feel any better, my DS was in the neonatal unit and on a ventilator. They said his lungs were not well developed. He'll be 16 on Thursday and he's healthy as a horse now.

We had his family birthday party tonight at Grandma and Grandpa's. They bought him the red Honda he's been wanting. It will have his name on the title with ours until he graduates from high school. Then it's his. Maybe I can figure out how to post a picture. He's thrilled with the California Adventure Mickey that his "Auntie" Martha sent from Arizona. He says to tell you thank you. I'm sure if he ever comes down from cloud nine, he'll send you a PM himself.

It's been a busy weekend. We had to drive out to church camp to pick up the birthday boy today. We're still cleaning out and sorting piles of stuff. Where did it all come from? We've only been here for about 8 years and I think the stuff we have around has multiplied like rabbits.

DD's floor was a mess today. I took away her Harry Potter rights until she cleans her room. She looked at me like I was evil. She is working like there is no tomorrow. Just wish I could light a fire under her this easily the rest of the time. I know, I'm a mean mom!

Merry - so glad the boy liked the antenna topper. And such a cool car! We need pictures...... And the threat of no Harry unless the room is clean is a good plan. I wonder what I could tell myself to get my room clean!

Lorraine - I am not sure..........Pool/Car, I would have a hard time with that. Although your kids are so young, the new transport will come in handy for all the sports, dancing, ect. that they will be in. And the pool is a ton of work. Today, the water temp was only 84, very cool, it is amamzing how fast it can cool down when the air temp stay below 100.

Gail and Lew - I know you are having a great wekend. THat is one beautiful place.

DH is having many second thoughts about his job audition/interview/dinner on friday. He is way qualified for the job, but he is so doubtful. He doesn't want to stand up in fron of agroup of people he doesn't know and teach them about the product, because he has gray hair and he wears glasses and they will be judging him. Sheesh, it is so hard.

See you all on the riddle monday. I hope Elaine is having fun! We are going to redo the carpet in the guest room tomorrow. I have a ton of stuff to move out!

Rains seem to have descended upon us again, and looks like an indoor sports day does anyone remember that line from Judy Blume???

Tomorrow is the LAST DAY OF SCHOOL...woooohoooo....I'm bringing the kids home with me after the morning assembly, and Neil is planning to leave work early so we'll all head up to the lake for some family fun before the craziness of summer hits!

Off to go grocery shopping, and clean up this pigsty I call a house....Lars, you could probably eat off my floors today..but not because they are so clean!!!!!!!!

Marsha-I'm sure that your DH will make the right decision about his interview. If they want him they must have a lot of confidence in his abilities...so he should too Moving all the stuff out of a room is a PAIN but new carpet is a good reward for the effort!
We're meeting my parents for lunch today & other than that we're just working around the house.
