Hi Guys!
We had #79 out of over 400!! We got home about 10 minutes ago. DS also got one of the packing boxes that the books came in because they had the date on them & said Harry Potter all over them. There was a seperate line for the boxes LOL
We made wands, potions, gooey stuff & drank lemonade with eyeballs in it A good time was had by all!!

Morning All

Well just a quick hello message to say I hope you have fabtanbulous Saturdays!

Our Harry Potter book arrived this morning, so am very impressed with the internet book company I ordered from! (It wasn't amazon)... DBF will get stuck in to that soon I'm sure, and we will take it on hols with us along with our other two new books, 'Patriot Games' for DBF and 'The Life of Pi' for myself - tho will we get a chance to read anything whilst holidaying so close to the World?! LOL

Lars - I was LOL with your story about your DS getting one of the packing boxes! When I went to a lecture (of sorts) by my favourite author (yes, Terry Pratchett again!) a few years back you could queue to get your books signed and/or queue to get one of the big cardboard signs they had in the doorway... my Mum was highly surprised to see my carrying one of *those* out the door

Well, am going to have to set off to the hairdressers in the next five mins, but will catch up with you all later.... by Marsha's request I hope to post a 'before' and 'after' piccy of me later on today

Sounds like a nice night for all you HP fans out there and like it might have been a little fun too! I admit even had I been a fan, I would have been happy to be at home in my bed with my laptop Okay I'm lazy and it wasn't all that warm last night

The alarm finally went off and soon I'll head off for a day. I doubt I will have much time to get online anyway while I am there since I am going straight to the meet and will probably swim tomorrow morning

Tons of warm angel {{{hugs}}} for you E. You know we love you here!! Hope you have a great time at your Indy meet.

The HP parties sounded really fun. I didn't pre-order my book, so I'll have to go out today and buy one.

We survived the drive in! It started sprinkling a little near the end, but it wasn't too bad. Surprisingly, they were pretty quiet by midnight, so I didn't have to go downstairs too much. A few of the girls fell asleep on the way home, so I think that gave them a second wind when we got home. We are enjoying yummy warm Krispy Kreme donuts right now while they are finishing up their craft. They are gluing jewels on glass jars. They look really pretty - a great dollar store find!

Lars and Gail - WAKE UP SLEEPYHEADS!!

It is raining still! Tried to finally get to a Pirate game last night, but it was raining and thundering all night. My DH and I met up with some friends for dinner and we never thought they would start the game so we just stayed there and then went to a club after. Needless to say, they actually played the game and it went 15 innings!!! At least the Pirates won. I don't think it would have been fun sitting there during the rain though.

Alan - sorry to hear about the loss of your friend. I like funerals where you talk about the good times. We had a lady at work who died of cancer last year. It was the saddest funeral I've been to since she has 3 young kids, but it was also the nicest since everyone was standing up and telling great stories about her. I learned more about her that day and what a great person she was.

DH and I are going to attempt to go look at pool places again today.

Good morning!!!

We all slept a bit this morning after our adventures last night. Everyone but EB was up by about 8.....she strolled out of her room about 1/2 hour ago.

We really did have lots of fun at B&N and we're hearing from friends that we may have been on the news. For those who know the story, they has a sorting hat and EB was so excited to be sorted into Griffyndor that she fell right off the stool!!!

I guess I haven't been paying attention.....where is E going for a meet?

Melissa - Before I forget, don't forget to e-mail someone a picture from Epcot next week and we'll post it!!!

LK, Glad to hear that you survived the night. It was around age 13 that I told my DD, NO MORE SLEEP OVER PARTIES!

Our HP has been mailed. Both kids have so much summer reading that HP isn't a priority here.

Now that it is the first day of summer, the TV news and the paper are talking about this spring's weather. Out of 90 day, only 30 had no rain. In May and June, there have been only 2 totally sunny days, one in each month. This is really taking a toll on the farmers.

Today is laundry and packing so the kids can leave. DD leaves Sunday for camp. DS leaves Monday for his church mission trip. What are DH and I doing without the kids? I have a colonoscopy scheduled for Tuesday (FUN), and we have a meeting with our financial planner on Thursday. We know how to have fun, don't we?

Almost forgot. I got a package from Shamrock Bunch yesterday.

Glad you survived the drive in and sleep over, Laura. You made good points last night.

Elaine is off to Indianapolis. She is meeting up with a few Disers, including Dan Murphy. I hope it cheers her up even more.

Carol, you DO know how to have fun! Wow, a colonoscopy and financial planning in the same week, and no kids. You and DH are really living it up! I talked to my sister in Nova yesterday, she is so sick of rain, she says it has been raining everyday since I left in May, and now the All Star games are being rained out, I don't know how they got the regular season in, they were 5 games behind at the first week of May, they must have just squeezed them in between cloud bursts.

First day of summer and it's still very windy. It is not looking good for the fire in Tucson, at least 250 homes have been lost, all the businesses in the town are gone, and there in no hope for containment for at least 2 more weeks. The wind is too strong most of the time for the bombers, and the terrain is too rough for much on the ground crew to get close. There are times to be thankful for living in the city. And todays high here is only to be 97, Pete was in the pool the other day, he was freezing in the wind!

The mail lady just knocked on my door. She had 3 packages for me---1 from Gail, 1 from LTM, and our copy of Harry Potter. I wasn't expecting it today. She said that mine was the only one she had. I had to explain that I would be receiving more packages from the Sun Goddess so now she is curious too.

Evening All!

The battery in DBFs digital camera needs charging so no piccy of my new hair today sorry! (I'm sure you'll all live LOL)

We've just got back from my parents house, where we had a barbque (but had to eat indoors cos' it started to rain ). It is my Auntie's birthday tomorrow so we were celebrating a little early - but she was annoyed that we wouldn't let her open her pressies LOL
