Took the kids to the theater so DD could see Matrix Reloaded for the second time and DS could see it for the first time. He is only 14 so I had to go to make sure he could get in. Really not a problem.

We all worked on cleaning/organizing the basement so DH could paint the walls. He is down there now. I am doing other chores. Fun day, huh?

It currently is not raining but is very cloudy. It poured last night and this morning.

I must be in the minority as well... it isn't raining here. It was even very sunny a short while ago.

I just had my sister over for a small cookout since a lot of our family is out of town (and her DH has prior arragnements to go play computer games with friend). I also started packing so I have to do some laundry now.

Okay dont be keeping all the rain for yourselves--pass it down here. We havent had any rain in forever, my house is going to fall into a big crack.
This has been a very boring day, no one in my house is doing anything. We are just sitting around watching SpongeBob with my 3 yr old. I need to do laundry too to many dang dirty socks around here.

I'm plodding away at Matt's 2 final projects and made good progress today. One's due Thursday and the other not until next week but he has several baseball games and we're planning to be away next weekend so we took advantage of a rainy holiday to get at it. A word of advice if anyone ever has to construct an edible model of a cell......if you're planning to use a malted milk ball suspended in jello to represent the cell nucleus.......wait until the jello cools a bit or you'll melt the malted milk ball!!!!!

All I've got on tap is time with BF(this weekend by the looks) and picking up DVD's tommorow.Is Matrix:Reloaded as good as I'm hearing?? We're trying to hit all the major movies

My 2 oldest ds loved the Matrix Reloaded...it's their favorite movie. Of course mom probably wont get to see it til its out on DVD since its hard to keep Connor quiet and relatively quiet in the movies.

Whew, tons of catching up to do here. We got back a few hours ago. The weather was pretty nice. It only rained during the evenings.

Yesterday we took all of the quads and dirtbikes for a nice long ride in the woods. One section we like to call "Hop on Pop" is a very hilly area with lots of little jumps and bumps. I don't like to go in there on a dry day, let alone after it's been raining. Anyway, DH is leading all of us on the ride. I was driving a quad and my 3 year old niece was riding with me. She kept saying "Aunt Laura, I don't really like these bumps!" DH leads us into Hop on Pop, and it didn't look too bad at first. Next thing you know, there is a huge puddle in front of us. Have to go through it because we can't back up. I start driving through it, the water is over my ankles, and we get stuck! My niece starts freaking out. We finally set her down on some dry land and had to pull it out. I got it started again and we begin to head out of the area, but it turns out there are two more huge puddles we have to drive through. I just gunned it and made it through, but my pants and shoes were totally soaked. Of course, after we got out, my niece thought it was fun!

Ugh, I am glad I am not the only one who was dreading the laundry. I finally have it done now but I really put it off for quite some time. Actually the dryer buzzed me and I am too lazy to go get it right now... I will soon I think

Gail, feeling any better? It must be pain to do those projects AND not feel well.

CS, a friend of ours has seen it and loved it. She's going to go with Luis to watch it sometime soon as well as X-Men2. I am not really into those movies so I am glad Luis has someone he can go with.

And probably not till August Monsoon Season. I spent another hour and a half in the pool, it is so nice just to float around. I almost fell asleep, Pete woke me up , which is good, because I am a leetle red. We did a little of nothing today, he got his hair cut, bought new flip flops for him, a new pair of jeans for work for him, and then we went to the tattoo shop so he could get an appointment for his next addition. I think I may get one too, he want us to get the same one. Some flower thing he picked off a piece of decorator fabric at work. Now he is vacuming leaves off the rock part of the driveway, and I am dising. Life is good!

I can not make any movie recommendations, except for Finding Nemo. Pete and I haven't been to the movies in probably 3 or 4 years. He does not like to be where people are, that keeps us home a lot.

I did my 3 loads of laundry and bathed Max all before 11am, and picked up the guest room, mostly. Now I don't have to do laundry for 2 weeks! I have way too many things to wear.

Gail, feel better. Elaine, get packing, you have to get to WDW and do something fun so we can all wish we were there.

LK-Glad that you had a good time! I don't envy you the muddy mess though!!
E!-I am not really into those kinds of movies either....my DH finally has a son old enough to go with him so I'm off the hook!

Marsha, be proud!!! I am almost done packing now!!! I just have a few minor things to get together, but otherwise I am more or less done. I just have to figure out what I want to use to carry my stuff around in the parks.

Your DH is lucky. Usually Luis begs to go to the movie and I keep reminding him that he has co-workers and friends to go with. I guess he wants to make sure that I really don't mind him seeing them w/o me.

Laundry is done... now it is time to sit and relax (I hope)

Seems they went to Town Crier's for the annual Dis Memeorial Day Weekend Cookout. If you have never met TC, he is the nicest guy., He made all of us DIS name buttons for Discon II, and was taxi service for about a bazillion people that week. YOu really do meet the nicest people on the DIS. And Elaine, Luiso is a cutie pie, but we need to see those latin eyes............. THe party looked like great fun, I hope it didn't rain on the chef.

You are right though, John is a great guy and I am lucky to have met him many times over the course of the year. I actually met him for the first time just over a year ago and it was my first DIS meet... yes I was WAY too shy to go to one before then. We were lucky as it didn't rain, it only was a tad bit chilly in the evening. I am just about to start looking at the pictures I took so maybe I'll get a few up soon
