We just found out that a tree has crashed into my in-laws cottage. My MIL called my DH in a huge panic, and they are driving up there right now. He told her to calm down and not to rush, the tree isn't going anywhere. My biggest worry right now is that they have our kids with them, and I don't like them driving while they are so upset. They have about a two hour drive in front of them. DH and his sister are going to drive up soon, too, because my IL's don't have a cell phone. Thank goodness no one was up there when it happened.

This is an adventure your kids will probably enjoy, though I know you are probably a little nervous about them being in the car.

I'm SO sorry. That is such a sad story.
I'm always worried about my doggie getting hurt during one of these seizures. One time she fell down the steps, one time she fell off the couch.
I'm just really hoping these clusters are not starting up again.
There's not much else the vet can do for her. She is on the maximum amount of Pheno already.

Made egg fried rice for the first time tonight! Yay, it was successful Shame the poached duck legs didn't come out like they should have (they hadn't cooked all the way through so we had to cook them further whilst everything else was out and done - ah well!)

LK - Hope your kids and in-laws are all okay!

Nametwin of mine - sorry to hear about your little dog. Some family friends of ours have a border collie who suffers from fits from time to time, thankfully I believe they are *incredibly* rare these days.

Sandi - Hope everything works out okay for your poodle. PD coming your way! I feel so bad when I hear of pets suffering

Lars - Sounds like a great idea! Are you going to co-ordinate it then?

SB - Be proud! That's a really great achievement and well done you for spurring him on!

Sandi, the cottage is in Marienville, which is about 1/2 hour north of Clarion. I guess Marienville and Kane (close to the Kinzua bridge) got hit pretty hard and won't have any power until Thursday.

Oh my......some disturbing things happening this afternoon. My cousin also had a poodle who had seizures. Hope your little dog is better Sandi.

I also hope there's not much damage at the cabin Laura. I can understand you being concerned with the kids driving with them. Glad Lenny & his sister will follow soon. The weather and the resulting damage from it has been really scary for lots of people lately.

Good job Mommy Lorraine!!! I remember when both of our varmints learned to ride alone. So when are you going to take him to see the "other" mouse??? Sorry about your favorite player being traded to the Sox. Now there's even more reason for you to visit New England. I think your twin should be supportive and drive you here too!

Hugs for all the doggies and doggie lovers here. We had to fence off part of our back yard and the patio so Sadie can't get to the pool, she can swim but can't find the steps and now being blind, she would drown in the middle of the night. Better to have a doggie door so they can go out on their own and a fence than the other.

LK, the kids will look on it as an adventure, but sheesh! I hope it turns out OK. Maybe DH can get some pics so we can see! I know, I am a rubber necker!

Lars, I would like to send something to someone! I had tried to do it when the whole thing started last time, but then when the war started, we got told no packages. So if you want to pm me the info, I can go shopping with a purpose.

It took one hour to clean the pool, emppty the skimmer basket, empty the pump basket and all that. Then I noticed that due to so many leaves and bark in the water last night and this AM, algae had decided to grow, so I had to do the super chlorine and algae killer. Now it sould be good to go, so I am off to the blue float of happiness for while.

DD is taking care of a neighbor's plants and gathering mail/newspaper. They told her we are welcome to swim in their pool while they are gone. Just back from a relaxing swim. It was so nice.

I failed to mention that my doggie story took place several years ago. But thanks for all the sympathy. Even though it has been a while, it still hurts. Sandi, let us know how things go with your little one.

Keep us posted about the cabin. I'm hoping the damage isn't too bad.

I enjoyed reading the transcript from last night. You guys are a hoot. I laughed out loud. Wish I could have been there.
