Hi All!
Had a great day at my brother's today...the kids swam for hours:D Then yummy ribs at our favorite restaurant! All things considered....it was an almost perfect day:D
FIL was released from the hospital today....he's doing much better!
I can hardly believe that RC is only 5 days away!!!!:D I'm looking forward to meeting all the Disers attending it!!!and to catching up with the ones I've already met!!:D

Good evening angels. I love the yearbook thread, we do make a good entry.

Gaspode! Great report, and nice pics. The house looks very nice, very typical florida pool room. They need them for the bugs, all my relatives in FL can't understand why I don't have one around mine. I keep telling them, we don't have bugs like that, but they don't believe me.

Carol, I remember you talking about being unhappy with the pastor. Is there a chance he will be leaving and the associate can take over? I have attended services at my brothers church. He preaches from the floor, with a wireless mike. He walks among the congrgation. It is a little distracting. The assistant priest preaches from the pulpit. I don't know when my brother decided to change, but what ever works I guess. They also take turns, my brother preaches at the contemporary mass, Father Carl preaches at the traditional. I am not a fan of the contemporary mass, either, the praise band seems a little odd. Oh well, I doubt that it matters, as long as people are coming together to worship in the way they like, it is all good.

SB, shame on you for having to work, but isn't it fun to be there with out the normal routine?

LK, LOL at the date slipping by and being celebrated late! SOmeone needs to update the calendar.

Lars, great day! Pete loves ribs. He wanted to have them tonight, but settled for pizza, which was very bad.

E! You have been one busy little bee.

BTW, I have now packed my entire clothing suitcase, my things I need to bring but can't fit in with the clothes, and have started the final bag, toiletries and (shhhh) undergarments. And I don't leave for 2 weeks! I feel so much better that it is done. I have only one more check to arrive for the Illuminations Party, boy I love when people follow through with their commitments, so that is off my mind.

Steph - how is the sleep over going? Did Meg get to say hi to EMIL at pick up time, or were you out of the house?

Got our new cell phones this weekend. We felt like we needed to get on a family plan, so David would have a phone when he's out and about. Of course, Amy wanted to have one, too. So we came away with 3 new phones. Allen will have to add on when his job ends, but for now he still has a company phone. I'll give Sandi my cell number to add to my RC book. I've got lots of weekend minutes, so if anyone wants to call, I'd love to say hi.

It's been a busy couple of days. Spent yesterday packing Amy for camp and picking up odds and ends that she needed. Last night she got tired and began to panic about whether or not she should go (normal behavior for her  ). By this morning she was okay again. She gets nervous when she's away from home and nights make it worse.

Today we went to church. Our minister was out of town, as well, Carol and we don't like ours either. Boy do we have a lot in common. David got a special blessing for his license and Amy for going to camp. We went out to a local Chinese buffet for lunch and headed to camp. It's about an hour away. It was HOT! Poor kid might melt before the week is up. BTW, she is planning to sing "I Won't Say I'm in Love" on talent show night. The kid is Disney to the core. When we got back home this evening, we took my mother's boyfriend to Outback for dinner. His birthday was Friday and they were out of town.

Anyway, we've eaten out twice today, so I'm stuffed. Where did my diet go? Actually, I did pretty well considering. David has taken TWO girls to the movies tonight. :earseek: He's becoming quite popular among his friends who are mostly 15 and can't drive yet. LOL! He thinks this new popularity is pretty fun.

I'm an Episcopalian and we celebrate Pentecost in May or June, too. Isn't that funny that it's different for different churches. Never knew that before. This thread is educational. Maybe THAT'S why I spend so much time here?

Glad to hear Melissa is feeling better. Loved the trip report so far.

Loved our pic in the yearbook. We look like cherubs. Me thinks they don't know us very well. LOL!

Marsha, hope you sleep better tonight. I didn't get enough sleep, so I think I'll sleep like a log tonight. Elaine says she is tired too. Maybe we've all been doing too much too fast. I think I need a vacation.

Great news about your FIL, Lars. I'm glad he's doing better.

Sorry SB that you have to work. Not a fun place to be on the weekend. Still if you have to work, dressed in shorts is the way to go.

Please do tell us about the sleepover. I made Amy stay home from one on Friday night because the little brother had had the flu. Boy was I a dirty rat, but I didn't want her to get sick before camp.

Marsha, sounds like the packing is coming right along. I hate packing and after getting Amy ready last night it's the last thing I want to think about.

I'm sure I missed responding to somebody. That's what happens when you wait too long to post. Too much to remember.

I was wondering the same thing bout Diane. :(

Sounds like everyone has had nice weekends. We dodged the thunderstorms this afternoon.....they guys had fun a the golf tournament and the kids and I had a nice visit with my friend and her kids......and 16 other members of her family! A cousin was visiting from Virginia with his family and since Doreen has the largest house.....and a pool.....the party was there. I do know all of her family and hadn't seen her parents for quite some years so it was fun.

Funny story - We went for pedicures on Saturday and I finished a bit ahead of her and was sitting out with some girls who were waiting for their nails to dry. They started chatting with me and I learned they were also friends from college and had just finished their second year. It didn't take me long to figure that Doreen & I have been friends since before they were born!!! We also found a picture from our college days and were able to remember what our natural hair color was! We really were both blondes.....as children.....now we're just "returning to what mother nature gave us"!!!!!

hi

plans for anniversay are in action,I'm getting DBF a dvd but stuck on the other part

Good morning anybody who may be awake too!!! I'm having riddle withdrawal.

Melissa, I love your trip reports and photos. :D

Morning! Not a lot of time to catch up today. I have to go into work today, and I usually don't ever do Mondays. :(

Looking forward to Riddlecon in a few days! BTW, my countdown clock is for when we were going to leave on Thursday. We have decided to leave Friday instead, but I'm not going to get into changing my clock. It is always a bit tricky to set up in the first place!

I'll check back in later.

Good Morning Angels, the men who love them and all others suffering from early AM riddle withdrawal.......this is tougher than forgoing caffeine!!!!!!!

For me Pentecost Sunday is early June as well (12 years of Catholic Schooling has most of that info permanently embedded in my brain)! Not SURE when it's celebrated at St. Krispies!

I'm looking forward to seeing your trip report Melissa! I'm going to head over there in a little bit! Some early morning work to get done today (but I can root, toot and TELEcommute!!!) :D

Hope you all have a great day and I'll see you all later!

Valerie

Hi guys... just thought I would pop in and say good morning. Going through riddle withdrawals. :(

We head out today for the first leg of our journey to CedarPoint today!

Good morning all :) Having riddle withdrawls here too.

Diane, I missed saying this to you. I do hope they can find out what might be causing all this trouble for you soon {hugs}

Speaking of Diane... when was the last time someone heard from her?? I hope she is just resting and getting better.. I do have her phone number though and I can try to get a hold of her if needed.

Laura, have a safe trip out to Ohio!!! I look forward to seeing you in a few days!

I am a bit tired today so I hope the day goes on flying away for me :)
