BEO frustration...

I am now 94 days til the wedding. We had our planning session back on Sept 11. We were told it would take 2 weeks for our BEO. I emailed my planner a couple weeks ago asking where it is. Her assistant keeps answering me. She said it can take 4-6 weeks. I emailed again now asking when to expect it and the assistant said they are waiting on the floral proposal. We are not even using Disney for any floral. No one is getting back to me and I am getting really annoyed! Any one else had this problem or have suggestions of how to deal with this?

I know exactly how you feel. It takes ages to get your BEO and yes that is right it is always waiting for the floral proposal. If I can just let you know the floral people (Rosie I think) deals with all of the entertainment, this includes videographer, photography and any other entertainment you may have included in your session. So although you may not be using their floral you are probably still having some kind of entertainment. Your co-ordinator should be able to e-mail you a copy of some of your BEO with the floral (entertainment) costs outstanding. I hope this helps.

I know how you feel though it is really frustrating. Be patient you will receive it and then you can sit back and relax.

I had my PS the day before you, and my planner sent me her portion of the BEO (minus the floral portion) within a week and a half. I just got the floral proposal last week. Surely your planner could send you the nonfloral info while you wait!

I was going to say the same thing. I had my PS a few days after you and got my BEO a week later. I understand that every planner has his/her own way of doing things but perhaps you can ask just to have it without the floral. I got my floral estimate about 2-3 weeks after my BEO. It shouldn't be a big deal.

Thanks for the thoughts/advice! I now asked for it without the floral and she said they don't like giving it piece-meal. Oh well I guess I will just have to wait. I just feel like I am waiting on that though before I can get started on some other decisions. Hopefully it will be here so I can feel better soon!

I received my BEO without my floral portion as well. They can send them seperatly. Good Luck

I had a lot of problems with our first planner it took months and we got no where. I had to constantly beg and complain for my BEO and when we finally got it there was so much wrong. Now most people do not go through this so don't worry. The point is I asked for a change in planners and my second planner was so amazing, efficient and quick. So I say if it becomes an issue voice your concern via email to your planner and cc her assistant and you sales manager!

Well just an update....my mom called Disney to find out what was going on. Supposedly my planner's assistant never told her that I kept asking about my BEO so she had no idea I was upset. So it will be sent to us by end of day tonight. (way to go mom!)

way to go mom is right! i always cc EVERYONE (planner, assistant, floral, floral assistant) on my emails. laura asked me to do this so they can all stay in the loop...
