OK,
Here's our final BEO summary.
I was REALLY curious in the percentages so I played around with the numbers a bit.

30 People
Food buffet prereception, dinner and incl. 1.5hrs of DP - $4396.06 27.17%
Transport inc Cindy's coach -$3448.00 21.31%
Location - $1890.38 11.68%
Flowers - $1332.32 8.24%
Entertainment - $1184.24 7.32%
Photo - $1000.00 6.18%
Drinks - $883.95 5.46%
Chair & covers rentals - $678.94 4.20%
Cake and handling - $511.20 3.16%
Move, set and delivery fee - $390.00 2.41%
Linens & other decors - $383.13 2.37%
Setup - $79.88 0.49%
TOTAL : $16178.08565

I gave up trying to make it any lower because we have bridal party and are getting the coach... :rotfl: plus we extended our DP to 1.5hrs.
I think we'll be a good $3200 lower if we are to take those 3 off the list.

So the majority of our $ goes to food, then to transportation because of cindy's coach and the bus and then rental locations... :)
Flowers including centerpieces are surprisingly enough less than 9%. I thought it would be more. We had to cut out some stuff definitely to get to that #. Plus those chiavari chairs and delivery fee... man... those are budget killers too.

Anyways, don't know if I'm just crazy but I did find numbers are quite interesting... :).

what cake did you choose??

Ours is not very fancy. But I love the clean lines.
It's actually cake for 40 people
2 tiers

Sorry the image is photoshopped because the original cake pics is 3 tiers.

maybe i shall cut ours to 2 tiers then as we only have 18 people!!

Well we’re not planning save the top tier or anything so there’s no reason for us to do a 3 tier other than making it look pretty.
Plus we’ll go straight from dinner to DP so there’ll be LOTS of other goodies for dessert… not just cake.
So we figure we should save the $ on that.

I think 2 tiers are just as pretty… :)

last year we were planning for 35 ppl and they told us 2 layers was plenty. Even with that they thought we'd be taking the top layer with us.

That's so funny - before they even saw the design of cake we wanted, they told us we couldn't have less than a 3-layer cake for 35 people.

And hey, that cake you posted was in my favorites folder! You have great taste! :rotfl:

I agree ... I don't know where I would put a whole layer of cake during our HM anyways. All we have is a mini fridge with our studio room
