Bentonville, Arkansas?

We saw a job opening for a chemist with Consumer Testing Laboratories in Bentonville, AR that looked like a good fit for DH. I know some about Arkansas since my family lives outside of Little Rock but I do not know much about the northwest part of the state. All I know is that Bentonville is the home of Wal-mart.

Anyone familiar with the area?

It is one of the fastest growing parts of the state. Fayetteville, Springdale, Bentonville, and Rogers are all large towns along Interstate 540. Individuals communte to and from each of these towns to work for Wal-Mart, JB Hunt, Tyson Foods, etc.

We lived in the area for 2 years and loved it but my husband's career path took us out of state. We are back in the state again but living in Central Arkansas so I do need to change my disboards name. My work causes me to travel back there a few times a year. Also we try to go to at least one Razorback game in Fayetteville a year since we moved.


It is very pretty part of the state with good schools and lots to do. You are very close to Branson for outlet shopping. I think you could be happy there.

It's close to Eureka Springs which I love and would be enough reason for me to move there. It's a nice area IMO.

If you are moving to Arkansas, that is definitely the area to move to. Schools are excellent, scenery is beautiful.

We had some friends that lived there for a couple years, well in Rogers anyway. They liked it there. We visited once and it is a nice area, dry county though, at least when we visited. We went to a HUGE craft fair when we were there. DS13 was 3 months old when we were there so it was a while ago.
