I'm taking a solo trip in June (yeay!) and was wondering about sushi choices. I'm debating between going to Benihana at the Hilton in DDT or Kona Island Sushi at the Poly.

I've had the sushi at the Poly and loved it, but haven't been to Benihana. Anyone know how the sushi is there? Do they still have the "All you care to eat" sushi nights? Is it an easy walk from DDT to the Hilton?

I've thought about going to the place in the Swan (or is it Dolphin), but the prices there are so high.

Thoughts? Recommendations?

Thanks!

My family and I have been to the Kona Island Sushi Bar multiple times, so that's what I would recommend because we think their Sushi tastes amazing.

You can find Benihana anywhere. I wouldn't eat there on a Disney vacation. There are too many unique and different offerings! The sushi at the Kona island is certainly not authentic, but it doesn't strive to be. It's creative, and most importantly, tasty. I also love the experience of sitting at a sushi bar, especially one with views of a Disney monorail station!

Another great thing about the Kona Island Sushi Bar is that you don't need any ADR's when wanting to eat there, plus you can also order off the Kona Cafe menu if you feel like it.

Sounds like some clear votes for Kona! I have to admit to being partial to Kona myself. I like the idea of being at MK, hopping the ferry or monorail to the Poly for some sushi goodness and then going back to MK for the evening. :thumbsup2
Much easier to get to than the Hilton at DTD.
