A few years back, I tried a skewer from Bengal Barbeque and remember not liking it. My sister recently got the Safari Skewer and I thought it was "eh". I kind of want to try something else on the menu, but don't know what is good. What are your favorites from Bengal Barbeque?

I usually order the Chieftain Chicken Skewer and the Outback Veggie Skewer and split it with a friend.
I'm not a big fan of the meat skewers, I'm really not sure why. Maybe it's the long line that makes me too mad to fully enjoy my meal, but I've just never been that impressed by them. The veggie one is really good though, if you like veggies (and I do!).

This is exactly what I get too! I get one chicken skewer and one veggie skewer and eat them together. I have tried all the skewers there and like the chicken and veggie the best.

I get the banyan beef (spicy) and the bacon wrapped asperigus (I can't remember the name)

Both are very good IMO

.

This is what we do to, the veggie skewer is the best - love it - and I'm not a big veggie person either.

Bacon wrapped asparagus - yum!

Another vote for the Bacon Wrapped Asparagus! :thumbsup2 This should have been a poll!

I tried the bacon wrapped asparagus and was kind of disappointed that the bacon was burnt. Is this common? I'd like to try it again next time.

I always get the Banyan Beef and one veggies skewer. They are yummy together and I love the sauce. I even have the recipe for the sauce and make it home from time to time. A few days ago we BBQed flank steak and some veggies and I made the sauce to put on it. Yummy!

Yea!! Here's hoping you don't mind sharing the recipe for the sauce with us, PinkBudgie. :goodvibes Sounds great!!

I always get the spicy Banyan Beef skewer. I think it's good and it always seems like a good value to me...but I'm not overly picky with my beef either.

We love the bacon wrapped asparagus one. DH always wishes he could get it at WDW.. he wants them to put a Bengal BBQ in place of the dole whip place :rotfl:

I like the sweet chicken one and the tiger tail..plus free water. Just enough to get by until I find a churro cart, popcorn wagon or Dole Whip :)

Ok here is the recipe for the Spicy Banyan sauce.

soy sauce 1 cup
water 1 1/2 cups
ground black pepper 1 Tbsp
sesame see oil 3 Tbsp
ground red pepper 1tsp
cayenne pepper 1/2 tsp
granualated garlic 1 Tbsp
cornstarch 3 Tbsp

Combine all of the ingredients above and bring to a boil, adding cornstarch to thicken.

This sauce is easy to make. If you don't want it so spicy, just skip the cayenne pepper and lessen the other peppers. I actually didn't have any cayenne pepper this last time and it tasted the same. You can use this sauce on steak, kabobs, and veggies.
