So I am looking to possibly take my son to Disney Land in February for two park days. What benefits do you get by booking a good neighbor package? The only reason I ask is because I could apply my AAA discount to the hotel and save some money. Where if I book through Disney I can get the AAA discount. And since we are only going for two days I wouldn't get the early morning admission.

AAA, Costco and Disney packages all differ just a little.
Check the information about what each package includes.

Check into booking things yourself. Most people say they can save money by booking their own reservations. I know I can.
Some of the hotels on Harbor will offer a AAA discount.

If booking yourself, the general rule is the earlier you book a room the lower the rate.

There really isn't any advantage to using an official GN hotel. You odn't get EE every day like DL hotel guests or anything else.
That's why we go with the hotels directly across the street instead.

Well it sounds like if it's cheaper for me to piece meal it then that's probably the way to go.

That's what we've always found.
That's not bad really. It give us a lot of options and staying at the nearby hotels is so handy that we prefer it over Disney places.

I am going on a trip with my BFF in January. DH and I always stay onsite, but I think to be thrifty, BFF and I will be off prop. Do you have any hotels you recommend if piece mealing is the way to go?

I suggest you pull up the Harbor street area on Goggle earth and check out the nearby hotels. That will tell you how close they are and basically give you a list of hetels there.
Our go-to hotels are Park View Inn and Best Western Park Place Inn but there are hotels next to those and down Harbor that are only a little farther from the crosswalk into DLR.
Good luck!

Best western park place inn
Camelot

I've really enjoyed these two in the past. We need a bedroom now so we're at HomeWood suites convention center with our family.

I've heard great things from friends about the Fairfield inn. Others on here really like park vue. Just look for the cheapest rate.

So far the cheapest I have found is at the Best Western Plus Anaheim Inn. It has free parking and includes a continental breakfast.

If you are on a tight budget or want your dollars to go farther, YES! book the trip yourself.

Start booking your hotel now. The closer to travel date the rates will increase.

If you want or need assistance, we're here to help.

That one is a few steps farther down Harbor - maybe 3~5 minutes more walking.
No biggie really.

Does anyone have experience with Desert Palms Hotel? I can get a really good rate through work...
