Benefits of "partner hotels"?

We are already in Orlando at a villa, but have booked our last few nights at Floridays, which apparently is a Universal Partner hotel. Does anyone know what that might get us? We already bought tickets (Orlando Flexpass), so we haven't bought a package from Floridays. Apparently it's also a Seaworld partner hotel and could get us their version of the express pass, but again, I don't know if I need to have booked a package with Floridays to get any benefits.

you can buy a package at UO if you book onsite, or with a partner hotel.

it usually costs more than buying everything separate.
