Benefits for workers at WDW

Question- Does anyone know if the people who actually work at disney world have access to free tickets to give to visiting friend/family. My neice (17) is going down to WDW w/friends and someone has a relative that works in Disney and is getting them "free" passes- Could this be true?

I believe this is true. When I called to make my vacation reservation recently, we got into a conversation about how he loves working for Disney and that one of the best parts is the free tickets and he gets to take his family members who wouldn't normally get to go.

Also I have a friend here in my state who's family member works at Typhoon Lagoon part time and she gets all 5 of them in free to all parks every year.

It would be a wonderful perk. I've always wanted to work for Disney though.

Hello All, I thought I would comment on this because my husband and I both worked for Disney between 2004 - 2006.

Yes, you do get park passes to give to family members & friends as well as you can get them in with your cast member i.d. when you meet them at the gates (but you are limited to entrys depending on your level at WDW).

Also, when we worked there, you can get your family and friends 50% the hotels.

Again this is when we worked there so don't know if it has changed?

Yes, it is true. One of our party got free passes from her cousin (PhotoPass photographer) on our last trip New Year's Weekend. I think they are limited in how many they can give out.

She went with us, so may have merely used her cast member ID rather than passes though.
