I tried to call MS but it apparently closed now but I need to know if when i rent out to NonDVC members, do they get DVC members benefits (ie: discount dining, etc) as well?? Can anyone tell me if it says DVC on the "Key to the World" card or something else??
When you rent out points or reservations you are supposed to inform MS when you make the ressie. That means that they should NOT have cards that say "DVC MEMBER" on them, and they are NOT elegible for member benefits like free valet, pool hopping, dinner discounts etc.
Non-members are not entitled to perks available to members. They might get them if they show their KTTW card, however non-members should not expect to receive our benefits.
"When a Club Member uses his or her Home Resort Vacation Points to reserve Vacation Homes on behalf of a non-Club Member, and the Club Member does not charge any rental or other fees to the non-club Member for the reservation, the non-Club Member is eligible for all or some of the Club Member privileges and benefits that a Club Member would normally receive during his or her stay in the reserved Vacation Home. Member privileges and benefits cannot be extended to non-Club Members who rent Vacation Homes from Club Members."
It would be up to you to inform the person using your membership as well as MS as you are the one who owns and needs to follow the POS.
In the past some resturants will ask for the blue DVC card for a discount when I take family I always give them my card or my wifes card if we are not dinning with them.
