Benefit to an AP?

We are planning a trip for next year and will need 3 rooms at a moderate resort. Would 1 of us getting an AP make sense to get a room discount? We would be there somewhere between 6-9 nights.

AP room discounts are not a guaranteed benefit. They're an added perk that is dangled in front of AP holders to fill rooms at the last minute (typically 2-4 months out). It's not a good idea to buy one just to get a room discount. The discount may never materialize for your date. In addition, the discount is typically only about 5% more than a general public room-only code for the same dates. So, the real savings is not as big as one might think.
